PROFESSIONAL LEARNING (PL)
OFFERINGS

COVID-19 has been a particularly challenging three-year event for teachers and hopefully, 2023
will trend towards 'normal'. AISWA Numeracy Consultants have been productive during this
period creating teacher resources and delivering, mainly, in-school PL.
Sheila and David are ready to support schools with their mathematics planning on a range of
levels. We encourage schools to focus on developing a 'Whole School Approach' to mathematics.
2023 PL offerings. The areas targeted include the literacies of mathematics, problem solving and
reasoning, and basic number facts. We can also assist schools to make use of routines and to
develop some common lesson features, such as warmups.
In this newsletter you will see our 2023 PL offerings and recently published AISWA/Dr Paul Swan
books, along with the popular, 'My Word Book: Mathematics' and the 'Check the Clues' series,
which now includes two place value editions.
There are more book releases to come in 2023!
