ABSTRACT
Information System Department (IS) exist in
almost all organizations or institutions these days. This
department plays important role by providing not only
services but also hardware and software, a complete
system and technology that able to deal with the
complexity of the needs throughout an organization.
However, some solution unable to be done in-house
therefore, an organization simply outsource solution that
able achieve the goal of an organization.
There are few examples of IS department in
Malaysia from public sector, private and multinational
organizations to be discuss in this booklet report. To
meet the needs of the organization, we will learn and
understand how IS department functioning in an
organization and handling the needs of technology to be
implemented to help organization daily business
transactions.

INTRODUCTION
MANAGEMENT
In order to achieve desired goals and objectives, a person or group of people
must be challenged and managed, according to the concept of management.
Furthermore, the capacity to organise, supervise, and guide people is a
component of management. A person or group that has the executive skills
to guide a group through challenges while striving to realise an organization's
goals is also referred to as management.
To expand and succeed in the future, organizations must determine the
practical managerial functions. They should create a company management
structure to segregate various management jobs and responsibilities;
nevertheless, in smaller businesses, people frequently perform numerous
management positions. Larger businesses, in contrast, would separate
various job management activities, resulting in structured management
functions and talents.

Selangor which is approximately 2.18 million residents.

OVERVIEW
Malaysia Government Unified Communications
(MyGovUC) is an integrated communications and
collaboration service managed centrally by MAMPU. The
service combines email communication channels, video
and audio conferencing, instant messaging, chat and
space. In addition, this service also provides information
sharing facilities on the MyGovUC 2.0 Portal and online
learning on the Learning Management System (LMS).
MyGovUC is implemented as a cost-saving measure
through collaboratively integrated communication where
all public sectors in Malaysia can communicate and
succeed in a project through the communication system

DDMS 2.0
OVERVIEW
The DDMS 2.0 project aims to develop a records
management system that manages official government
records and official secrets for its entire life cycle from the
process of creation, capture, storage, maintenance,
distribution and disposal of records digitally and
systematically. DDMS 2.0 can enhance the delivery and
transparency of government services through access to
digital (electronic) records management anywhere, any
time and any device. DDMS 2.0 also creates uniformity of
electronic records management in the public sector.

DDMS 2.0 allow public sector staff to manage record
electronically according to the life cycle of government
records starting with the creation, storage,
maintenance and disposal.

MYKEHADIRAN
OVERVIEW
MyKehadiran system is intended to record all JPA staff’s
attendance time in and time out. Each staff will have their
own report of attendances for each month that will help their
staff to keep track their daily attendance or in other words,
monitoring staff movements during office hours.

than recording time in and time out which dashboard which
