Warm-Up

• Stretching lines
• leg and arm stretches
• jumping jacks spelling out L.O.G three times.

Human Tic Tac Toe

• objective: having the ability to react fast
• rules: players are split into two teams and given numbers matching them with a player from the other team.

Once numbers are called that number on each team will speed walk and try to beat their opponent to a spot
on the human sized tic-tac-toe board. You can not win with three on the row closest to your team's sideline.
• equipment: 9 hula hoops
• Space requirement: a large flat room, like a gym or a slab of concrete.
• Time needed: Only seconds per round.
• safety tip: move cautiously to avoid collusion.

Human Knot

• Objective: team building and problem solving skills.
• Rules: this game is normally played with 8-20 people but can be played with as few as 4 people. The group

comes together and joins hands but not with the person beside you. Your group has to untangle before the
the others. If hands come apart that group has to start over.
• equipment needed: none
• space requirement: flat area. gym or grass.
• time needed: about 15- 20 minutes.
• safety tips: be mindful of hand to face contact while maneuvering in your groups.

Red Light Green Light

• Objective: Awareness development. listening, observation, and agility
• Rules: all players start on a line and at the "green light" command they proceed forward as fast as they can. However

when "red light" is called you must instantly stop moving. Any movement causes you to have to go back to the
starting line.
• Equipment: none
• Space Requirements: can be indoor or outdoor
• Time Needed: under 10 minutes
• Safety Tips: if on a hard surface please remind kids no running is allowed. if there are too many groups to play safely
divide your players into groups and let them play at different times.

Ultimate Frisbee

• objective: teamwork, and strategy

• Rules: teams start with a throw- off of the frisbee. The team that gets the frisbee becomes the offense and
the throwers are the defense. The person with the frisbee cannot move, however the team can move closer
to their goals. The first team with 15 goals wins (by 2). After every point the team scored on has to go to the
opposite end and wait for the next pull.

• equipment needed: a frisbee and goal indication marks.
• space requirement: Normally played on a field that is 40 yards wide, and 120 yards long.
• time needed: varies
• safety tips: This is a non contact game.

Sharks and Minnows

• objective: have sense of boundaries, and improve listening skills.

• Rules: a shark or sharks will be chosen and the rest of the class will be minnows. the minnows will start on
one side of the play area and the sharks will say "fishy, fishy, come out to play" and the minnows will walk
around. once the shark says "shark attack" the minnows must hurry to the opposing side without getting
tagged. If you are tagged you become a shark. The last of the standing minnows can start the next round as
sharks.

• equipment needed: none
• space requirement: a rectangular play area
• time needed: 10 minutes or more
• safety tips: be aware and do not run into others.

Heads up 7-up!

• objective: guessing game

• Rules: seven people are picked to start, then the rest of the class puts their heads down, closes their eyes
and puts a thumb In the air. The seven that started the game will tuck seven students then once they are
told to open their eyes they'll guess who touched them.

• equipment needed: none
• space requirement: could be a classroom setting.
• time needed: varies
• safety tips: none

kick ball

• objective: score more run than your opponent

• Rules: similar to baseball but a bigger softer ball is used. 3 outs per inning, no base stealing
• equipment needed: a kick ball, base indications.
• space requirement: played on a field with 4 bases in a diamond shaped infield.
• time needed: 5 innings
• safety tips: this is a fast pace game once the ball is in play.

Dodgeball

• objective: throw with accuracy, catch thrown balls, react and dodge balls thrown to hit you.

• Rules: There will be two teams on opposite sides of the gym floor throwing balls at each other. if you are hit
by a ball below the shoulders you are out. if a ball you threw was caught the thrower is out. The winning
team will have the most players standing when the losers are done.

• equipment needed: multiple dodgeballs
• space requirement: gym floor
• time needed: varies
• safety tips: headshots are not funny.

Knock-out Basketball

• objective: be the last person in your line standing. WIN

• Rules: player one shoots a free throw and if they make the shot they go to the end of the line but if player
one misses they hurry to their rebound and try to score before the player behind them scores first and
knocks them out of the game.

• equipment needed: basketball(s) and a basketball goal.
• space requirement: gym, or concrete area with a basketball goal.
• time needed: varies
• safety tips: This game requires balls being shot while people are still under the goal so be careful getting

your rebounds.

Simon says

• objective: follow directions

• Rules: One student is assigned to be Simon and he gives the class commands on what to do whoever, you
must only respond when you hear "Simon says..." The last person wins and is the next Simon.

• equipment needed: none
• space requirement: open area for kids to have space.
• time needed: varies
• safety tips: Make sure all commands during game are appropriate for class.

Hangman

• objective: critical thinking game
• Rules: The student who starts it chooses a word or phrase and the students guess what letters from the

alphabet are in the word or phrase. For every wrong letter guessed by the class a limb on a stick figure is
added. Once the stick figure is complete the winner is the person who is word was not guessed. if the word
is guessed then the student who guessed the final letters of it will have their turn try and beat the class.
• equipment needed: a board to draw out the hangman and word or phrase on.
• space requirement: could be a classroom
• time needed: varies
• safety tips: none

Telephone

• objectives: it shows how quickly a message can be changed
• rules: players are in a circle and a word or phrase started by one person in the circle is whispered from ear

to ear. Once the message gets back around the goal is that the original quote makes it around the circle
without any altering.
• equipment needed: none
• space requirement: limited
• time needed: varies
• safety tips: none
