i nombre es Edroud Jean. Soy seminarista para la diócesis de El Paso desde 2016. Yo
sentí el llamado al sacerdocio cuando era adolescente. Yo discerní mi llamado y pedí a

Allí tuve que aprender a hablar un nuevo idioma y a conocer una nueva cultura, otras
personas y hacer frente a nuevos desafíos. Aprendí a crecer en diferentes aspectos de la vida que, de
alguna manera me ayudaron a ser una persona más madura. Pude ver también la mano generosa de
Dios que siempre me acompañó en este caminar vocacional. Durante el pasado mes de mayo, terminé
mi proceso de formación al seminario mayor de la Asunción en San Antonio, Texas. Estoy agradeci-
do con Dios por permitirme seguir creciendo en mi discernimiento vocacional durante este año aquí
en la parroquia de El Espíritu Santo de la cual me siento parte. Gracias Señor por haberme llamado a
vivir esta nueva etapa hacia el sacerdocio en esta linda comunidad de fe.

y name is Edroud Jean. I have been a seminarian for the Diocese of El Paso since 2016. I felt the call to the
priesthood when I was an adolescent. I discerned the call deeply and I asked God to guide me so that I may make
the best decision possible. In 2008, I moved to Costa Rica to begin my studies at the seminary. While in Costa
Rica, I learned a new language, a new culture, and met other people. I faced some challenges and had some
growth in different aspects of life that helped me to become more mature. I experienced God’s generosity that strengthened
me on my vocational journey. Last May, I ended my formation process at Assumption Seminary in San Antonio, Texas. I am
very grateful to God for allowing me to continue to grow during my pastoral year experience at Holy Spirit parish, which I
feel a part of.
Thank You Lord for calling me to live this new step toward priesthood in this wonderful parish.
