EGG DROP PARACHUTE

Apparatus & Materials:
1. Small plastic bag (1)
2. Thread (1 roll)
3. Straw (25)
4. Scissor (1)
5. Salotape (1 or 2)
6. Needle (1)
7. A raw egg
8. Pen & ruler (Students bring theirs)
Instruction:
1. Build a parachute with a container using the apparatus and materials given.
2. Place a raw egg in the container.
3. Launch the egg drop parachute from the 3rd floor at the Block A building.
4. The condition of the egg is checked.
5. The parachute considered successful if the egg does not crack.

SHAKY SHAKY ICE CREAM
Apparatus & Materials:
1. Chocolate drink (2 small boxes)
2. Long clear plastic (8)
3. Salt (1 packet)
4. Ice (1 bag)
5. Scissor (1)
6. Transparent plastic container with lid (1)

Instruction:
1. Pour chocolate drink into each plastic until the red mark. Tie it.
2. Put ice into plastic container until 1/4. Sprinkle some salt.
3. Place the plastic with chocolate drink into the container.
4. Add ices into the container. Add handful of salts.
5. Shake the container until the chocolate drinks turn into solid state.
6. You can enjoy the ice cream.

PAPER MARBLING

Apparatus & Materials:
1. Shaving foam (1)
2. Food colouring (3)
3. Plate (2)
4. Spoon (2)
5. Toothpick (2)
6. Card stock (5)
7. Spray bottle with water (1)
8. Cardboard as scrapper (1)
9. Dropper (1 for each colour)

Instruction:
1. Place two plates on the table.
2. Put shaving cream on the plate. Spread it out with a spoon, with a depth of
about half an inch thick.
3. Take the first colour of food colouring. Add several drops on top of the
shaving cream, using either dropper or dripping it straight from the bottle.
4. Do step 2 and 3 with both plates.
5. Repeat step 2 with all food colours that you want to use.
6. Take the toothpick and carefully swirl around the colour in the shaving
cream. Swirl until you get the pattern that you like.
7. Spray some water on top of colour pattern. Use least 10 pumps of water.
Then let the foam sit for about one minute.
8. Press the card stock to marbled shaving foam.
9. Scrape off shaving foam using a piece of card board.
10. Reuse the shaving foam and make more.

(SIMPLE LINEAR EQUATION)
Apparatus & Materials:
1. Pieces of triangles in a packet.
2. 2pcs of blank A4 papers.
Instruction:
1. Pick a triangle, read out the question and solve in empty papers given.
2. Look for the answer for the related question.
3. Matching the questions and answers together by placing the edges of the
triangles.

FRUIT BATTERY EXPERIMENT
Apparatus & Materials:
1. Lemons (2), lime (2), tomato (2)
2. Knife
3. Copper electrode (1), Zinc electrode (1), galvanised nails (2)
4. Wires with crocodile clips (9)
5. Small LED (3)
Instruction:
1. Roll the lemons between your hands to help loosen up the juice inside
2. Carefully make two slits in each lemon with a knife
3. Place a copper electrode and either a zinc electrode or a galvanised nail into
each lemon.
4. Attach the lemons to each other using wires and crocodile clips.
5. The copper of one lemon should attach to the zinc of another lemon to
work.

FLOATING EGGS IN WATER

Apparatus & Materials:
1. Egg (2)
2. Water
3. Salt
4. Spoon (1)
5. Cup / Tall glass (2)

Instruction:
1. Pour water into the cup until about halfway.
2. Place the first egg into the water.
3. Take out the egg.
4. Add several tablespoons of salt to the other glass of salt into the water.

Stir it thoroughly.
5. Place the second egg into the water. Make observation either the egg

sinks or floats.
6. Compare both eggs.

PICKING UP ICE WITH A STRING

Apparatus & Materials:
1. String
2. Ice cubes (4)
3. Plastic cup
4. Water

Instruction:
1. Place 2 or 3 ice cubes into a cup.
2. Add a little bit water in the glass.
3. Take the string. Try to pull out one ice cube from the cup.

Make the observation.
4. Let the string spread across the ice cubes.
5. Take the salt. Spread it on top of string and ice cube.
6. Let it sit for a minute.
7. Try to pull out the ice with the string again.

Apparatus & Materials:
1. Colour papers (2 different colours)
2. Straw (1)
3. Scissors (1)
4. Tape (1)

Instruction:
1. Fold paper in fourths
2. Cut along folds.
3. Roll paper around straw.(Not too tight)
4. Tape to hold the paper roll in place.
5. Pinch one end to make the nose.
6. Tape it shut.
7. Cut out triangles to make fins.
8. Tape them to back end.
9. Place rocket on the straw and blow.

SNAKE AND LADDER

Apparatus & Materials:
1. A snake and ladder game board.
2. A dice
3. Playing pieces

How to play:
1. Roll the dice and navigate your piece from start to finish, avoid the snakes

and take shortcuts going up the ladders.
*When a player lands on the top of a snake, their playing piece will slide
down to the bottom of the snake.
*When the player lands at the base of the ladder, their playing piece will
immediately climbs to the top of the ladder.
2. The players will move their pieces from left to right, starting at 1. If a player
rolls a 5, then the player would move their piece five places.
3. To win the player will need to roll the exact number to get to the last
space. If the roll is too high, the player's piece will bounce off the last space
and move back.
Roll the dice and try your luck!

Materials:
1. Printable colouring page
2. Printable code sheets
3. Printable ASCII code guide
4. Printable code sheets with answer (for teacher)
Allocated Time: 1 hour
Instruction:

1. Students will decipher code in the printable code sheets using ASCII code
guide and then complete a colouring page.

2. Teacher/students’ volunteers can check students’ printable code sheets
before students proceed with colouring the printable colouring page.

3. Teacher/ students’ volunteer collects the printable colouring page,
printable code sheets and printable ASCII code guide.

4. Teachers can proceed to next activity (Science & Mathematics Puzzle) if
students have completed the unicorn colours by coding activity.

Allocated Time: 1 hour and 30 minutes

Instruction:
1. Teacher distributes the worksheets listed above to the students
sequentially (one after another).
2. Students who have completed the worksheet 1, will submit to the
teacher/ volunteer students to get the second worksheets until the
seventh worksheet.
3. Teacher may help student checking the answer by referring to teachers’
copy.
