A MUSICAL NIGHT!
To support, encourage and to hone skills of employees in music, Tata Power introduced a platform - SARGAM. The initiative, mentored
by Mr. Debabrata Guha, has grown from strength-to-strength, as has the enthusiasm and melody.
'Sargam Nite' was organised and hosted by Corporate HR on 27th May and held at the Yashwantrao Pratisthan in Mumbai. The event
was graced by senior leaders of Tata Power, including the CEO & MD, COO, CFO, CEOs and their families and near and dear ones.
The musically packed, three-hour show included performances ranging from classical music, semi-classical and light music - all drawn
from popular Bollywood classics ranging from the 50s to some recent numbers. Performances included solo artistes in vocals as well
as whistling, duets, chorus and instrumental rendering.
Swaying to the melody and foot tapping rhythm, the audience - nearly 300 in number - appreciated through applauses as well as by
hooting 'Once more!'This evening was a culmination of the tireless diligence, commitment and creativity of team Sargam, fondly
referred to as the Society for Music at Tata Power.
At the end of the performances, ourCEO & MD Mr. Anil Sardana stated that henceforth team Sargam would be considered the official
band of Tata Power and encouraged the team to enlist for various performances. The CHRO, in his appreciative remarks indicated that
the team would now have to prepare for performance in different locations of Tata Power.

LITERARY SECTION
Living or Existing!! The elixir of youth, power and money, are Nature’s
blessings!!
Life changes colour every day, Yet few live like dead rocks on the beaches…
Like the shades of grey, as we age.
Gee! Don’t be so proud of the Present,
People walk with pride, in their prime, The sands of time turn castles into rubble.
Yet they seek support, as they age.
If possible, spread few Smiles on the faces you met,
The power in their gaze, used to scare, There are millions who forgot to Smile for ages.
Now the tears roll down, not so rare.
Are you ‘Living or Existing’ is the big question,
Things would move, at the flick of fingers, Life is just a chance Lottery, Encash it fully…
Now the hands shakes, like leaves in thunder.
Live it NOW, not Some Day!!
The sound of their voice, like lion’s roar,
Now the lips are forced shut, soundless.
Ms. Vimmi Mehta

The fire of drought and let their prayers not go in vain.
Let the fire of drought be extinguished The fire of drought
by the first fresh waters of rain is a fire of a different kind
May the arid lands return to life Not the one that burns down houses and factories
and abound in corn and grain but if it spreads threatens mankind.
May the farmers faces be lit up by smiles
and the downpour wipe off their pain
Let the Rain God empathize with the tears of the
