Financials • Ms. Bonnie Clinton welcomed everyone.
• Betty introduced new MBEIC chair,
Pamela Nelson
• Monica reviewed minutes and asked for a
motion to accept. Betty Manetta made a
motion to accept meeting minutes and
Terri Quinton seconded. Motion carried.
• Mr. James Estes reviewed the financials.
Mr. Estes informed the Board that the
revenue for the period ending December
was $894.4k against a budget of $667.5k.
National Dues are well above plan and
Renewals are performing as expected.
Reflected also is the bonus of $50.3. The
Expense actuals were $943.7 against a
budget of $869.5k
Consent • Forecast is adjusting to reflect higher
Agenda/Reports revenue and office supplies, insurance and
temporary help were adjusted on the
2022 Council expense side
President’s Report
Closing Remarks • Rob Simpson made a motion to accept
financials and Jeni Rajbandari seconded.
• Jen Rajbandari provided an update on ISCWG.
Next event will feature Dr. Savings from Dallas
Federal Reserve
• Betty Manetta updated on MBEIC (summary of
2021). Pamela Nelson provided an update on
the first meeting of the year.
• Monica Menzel presented Slate of officers for
2022:

Discussion took place on the protocol for tomorrow
for voting in the new officer slate and voting for Chair
appointments and their voting authority.
• Bonnie will be bringing forward a proposal to
add 2 positions for buying entities to reflect
growth in the DFW metroplex. Kallie Malmgren
(as chair of bylaws) will ask for a motion to
approve.
• DFW Coronavirus and relief award: focus will be
on software/hardware grants. Estimated spend
will be around $125,000.
• Margo reviewed the materials to be covered in
the retreat tomorrow, including documents that
need to be signed by board members.
• Meeting concluded at 8:27am

C. President’s Opening Remarks
Confirmed March 3rd 2022 as the Board Installation with Economic briefing. The event was
moved out of February due to inclement weather.
D. 2022 Program of Work
1. March 3, 2022 - Board Installation and 2022 Regional Economic Outlook Keynote
Dr. Jason Savings Sr. Economist Federal Reserve Dallas. Venue for the event will be
at Westin Hotel in Irving (across Irving Convention center). The Economic briefing
will start at 2PM and board installation will begin at 3 PM. A high-level annual
board report for 2021 will be shared at the event
2. In 2022, we have planned to have Quarterly Supply Chain Professional Luncheon
in person. The first event is scheduled for March 23, 2022. Venue to be confirmed

3. The next Quarterly Luncheon is planned for June 22, 2022

DFW MBEIC JANUARY 2022 REPORT
MBEIC Kickoff Meeting
The D/FW MSDC kickoff meeting with the MSDC slate of officers for 2022 was
held on January 19, 2022. Each of the current MBEIC leadership was present for
the meeting including, Margo Posey, Terry Quinton and Betty Manetta.
The meeting focused on meeting cadence for the committee, expanding the
committee to include working committees for programing, outreach and industry
groups. Engagement and inclusion of MBEs to guide programing was a key focus
of the meeting. The next meeting was scheduled for Feb. 2, 2022.
DFW MSDC Board Retreat
The Board Retreat was held on January 22, 2022 at the DFW MSDC Office. The
MBEIC chair, Pam Nelson along with MBEIC vice-chair and board member , Evelyn
Molina attended the board retreat.
The board discussed the study 333 Years to Parity led by Michelle Robinson and
the impact of the study findings to the DFW area.
The board members were engaging and full of energy and discussion in support of
MBEs. The council recognized board members that were leaving the board with
gifts.
MBEIC Chair Call
The National MBEIC chairs held the bi-weekly call on 1/25/22. The MBEIC-chair
attended the call for the DFW MSDC. The NMSDC Chair, presented the strategic
outlook for the organization. She spoke to the challenges and strengths of the
organization.
New MBEIC Chair Orientation
The new MBECI chair orientation was held on 1/28/22 with Mr. Carlton O’Neil
and Mr. Rickman. During the call Mr. Rickman provided an overview of the role of
the regional MBEIC chair with the national group of chairs, expectations for
meeting attendance, meeting cadence, and committee involvement.
