MBEIC MAY 2021 REPORT
MEETING MAY 12, 2021 – ACCESS 2021 Bootcamp
A virtual meeting was held on May 12 featuring two successful MBE’s that know
how to navigate and deliver results at ACCESS Spot Bids. J. Francisco Escobar, JFE
International Consultants, Inc., and Gwendolyn Evans, GSE, provided key insights
on how they won bids and met buying entity members. In addition, the panel
was joined by Greg Obar, Sr. Director for Strategic Sourcing & HUB Coordinator
UNT System. Greg provided meaning information for our MBEs to be successful
with buying agencies that will be in attendance during ACCESS Spot Bid Fair. The
panel was moderated by Pamela Nelson, Bracane Company and MBEIC Second
Vice Chair.
In addition, Terri Quinton, Q2 Marketing Group, gave a session on Creating the
Perfect Pitch for roundtable sessions at ACCESS. Terri provided some great and
meaningful tips that our MBEs embraced. A tip sheet was provided to all in
attendance.
There were 100 registrants and 78 participants in the event and feedback was
very positive. Thank you for our MBE board members who attended: Clifton
Miller, Terry Quinton, and Silvana Rosero. Please go to website for a recording of
