IN FOCUS
AS FREE AS A BIRDIE
This year, we held our 40th
Birdie Bash celebration.
Since its inception in
1979, the Birdie Bash has
been a much-anticipated,
exclusive tradition for
Valley’s men. This year was
no exception as Members
and their guests spent
four days golfing, putting,
and long-driving. Even
more evident was the
pronounced camaraderie
and carefree spirit that
emanated throughout the
golf course.
With a variety of
competitions, there were
plenty of awards to go
around. Kris Herrick and
his guest, Ty Pechek,
were this year's Birdie
Bash champions. Dave
Tacha won the Long
Drive Competition,
and Tim Lucas’ guest,
Jim McPherson, won
the Senior Long Drive
Competition. And Ed
O’Donnell and his guest,
Steve Horowitz, won the
Putting Contest.
We would like to extend a
special thank you to Valley
management and staff for
making Birdie Bash run
so smoothly.
The crowd cheers as Kris
Herrick sinks the winning
shot to clinch his title as
Birdie Bash champion.
