FOREWORD

Shakespeare said, I believe, “Brevity is the soul of wit” and Neil Gaiman said that short stories are
journeys you can make to the far side of the universe and still be back in time for dinner. In
addition, our students have abided by both these maxims and have produced some of the most
wonderful pieces replete with their own art, their own characters and some of the most wonderful
stories. I would like to congratulate the fantastic Home Room Teachers, on their stellar efforts to
elicit this work from their students; the students, for their perseverance on this task every single
day over many weeks; and to all our parents, who have supported our reading program and the
development of reading skills at home. I do hope you will enjoy this book as much as we have all
enjoyed creating it and this will occupy a proud place on your bookshelf for many years to come
and, God willing, just the first in the many literary successes in the lives of our students.

Dan and his lost sheep
Aarav Kumar Sahoo
Grade1-A

Once upon a time in a beautiful village there lived a boy named Dan. Dan had only one fluffy brown
sheep her name was Sera. One day at night a thief came and stole Sera. Dan became very sad by not
finding his Sera anywhere, then Dan got a great idea to catch the thief and get his Sera back.
Dan took some cardboard, cotton and made a fake sheep and kept that fake sheep in Sera’s shed and
also Dan kept his scary dog Bruno behind that fake sheep.
Next night again the thief came to steal, by seeing the fake sheep he thought of a real sheep and
wanted to steal that sheep, the thief picked up the fake sheep and started running, Bruno said “buff
buff!” and started following the thief, Dan who was hiding behind a tree started following Bruno.
The thief finally reached the place where he kept Sera, Dan caught the thief and got his Sera back,
after that Dan and his Sera lived happily ever and ever.

The Secret Tree

Once upon a time there was a little girl named Lina. She was a caring girl. She liked to play with Dogs
and Cats. She helped others. She took care of her neighbors and pets. One day when she was taking a
dog for a walk the dog started barking near a tree. She saw a hole near the tree and she peeked inside
the hole, she was surprised to see dwarfs inside it. She ran away, she tells everything to her mother.
The next day she brought some food for the dwarfs and kept it near the tree. Now every day Lina did
the same thing. Her neighborhood also started taking care of them and helping them. The dwarfs are
now Lina’s friends.

THE BOY AND THE BLUE STRIPED DINOSAURS

In a deep forest where long trees are grown and greenery everywhere, where the sun shows light
early in the morning, birds flying and singing across the waterfall, in the middle of the forest. Beautiful
bushy grass, animals jumping around with a roaring sound in the deep forest. In the deep silent forest
there was a hut with long trees and fence surrounded by the hut, there was a boy named Bob who
lived with his father and other people around there. Bob was a fun loving boy and loves to have
adventures in the forest. He wants to learn new things and many more Bob likes to help his father and
animals too days passed by playing with him. Once Bob was fishing and hanging out with his friends,
and playing in water, suddenly he saw a big shadow passed by him and he got sacred and told to his
friends. Bob wanted to know WHAT WAS THAT SHADOW he thought might be a monster, or a scary
animal so he decided to go after it, he went searching for that thing. Bob was thinking what kind of
shadow was and bob looked everywhere but that shadow kind he didn’t find.
Then finally bob found that shadow kind, monster and scary thing, it was a BLUE STRIPED DINOSAURS.
Bob was fascinated to see the most beautiful dinosaurs through his eyes and wanted to make friend
with it, its blue shining body with stripes all over it. Bob tried to make friend with the dinosaurs and
was lucky to make also, finally blue striped dinosaurs and Bob became friends. Bob got his friends to
see the dinosaurs and played with them happily. And you know what bob named the dinosaurs as
GIINY MY BOY.

A happy day in Safari Jungle

During the winter vacations, we went on a Jungle safari. We started our day early as the National
park was far away. I helped mama pack a picnic for us, as it was a long day. We reached the National
park and parked our car, and then we headed to the Safari queue, and waited for our turn to get in
to the Safari bus. In the safari bus we first saw heard of deer crossing the road, and then we saw few
elephants playing in the lake, as it was a very sunny day. Next, we were taken to see lions and the
Bengal tigers – ROAR. Later we also went to the Butterfly park and saw many colorful butterflies –
red, yellow, green. After that, we ate the picnic and played bubbles, it was a nice, happy day.

The Strawberry Monster

During my winter vacation, me and my family drove from Bangalore to Hyderabad. It was a long
long drive. On the way a man was selling strawberries. I wanted some, but my mother said no
because of Corona virus. So, I was sad.

Suddenly a strawberry monster appeared. He was looked like a giant strawberry with one eye, one
leg and two hands. He was looking spooky and holding a basket full of yummy strawberries. But he
was a good monster. He gave me the basket of yummy Strawberries. I was not afraid but very happy
and said thank you. The good monster smiled and disappeared.

A Kind Princess and The Monster.

One day there was a monster named Olaf. He kidnapped a princess named Siva because he did not
want to stay alone in the big castle.

Siva used to help all the people around her, including Olaf. A few days later Olaf fell from a
mountain and got hurt very badly. Princess was so kind that she helped him to recover his injuries
and become strong again.

The monster Olaf was so impressed with Siva that he let her free and promised her that he will be
a wise monster from now on.

Fairy Elena and the Magical Plant

Once upon a time, there lived a plant in a beautiful garden in the Himalayas. Its flowers were yellow
in colour and had a magnificent fragrance. When someone smelled its flower, it felt like all their
worries would disappear for some moments and they became cheerful.
Gradually over time, there were climate changes and the beautiful garden started experiencing less
rain. Slowly, the Plant became gloomy, as its leaves and petals were lacking lustre and strength. It
looked up in the open skies and prayed for a miracle.
One day, gleaming in the moonlight, a pretty creature alighted down from the sky. She poured water
on the dying plant, as she whispered slowly to it “I am Fairy Elena. From now on, you will be a
Magical plant. Wherever you grow, there will be always enough water”. Soon, as the Fairy left, there
was huge downpour and the plant bloomed, spreading its fragrance all over, again.

On a bright, summer day a sad, lonely, sick dog was feeling very thirsty and hungry. A little boy
playing around spotted the dog. The boy took the dog home. He took great care of the dog. The dog
started getting stronger. One night a thief came to the little boy’s house and tried to steal stuff from
his house. The dog barked at the thief and made the thief run away from the little boy’s house.
That’s how the boy and the dog became the best friends ever and lived happily together.

The big giant and the boy

Once upon a time there lived a big lonely giant in a forest. He was sad because he did not
have any friends. So, he had cut the trees and crushed the flowers. It made the scared birds fly away.
One day a boy came to the forest and he met the giant. The boy asked the giant, why are you sad?
The big giant replied I am sad because I don’t have friends. The boy said I will be friends with you.
The giant became very happy and they lived happily ever after.

Best Friends

Once upon a time there lived a girl. Her name was Dolly. She was a very naughty girl. She had a pet
dog. His name was Biscuit. One day she was playing in the house, and she wanted to go out. Her
mother told not to step out alone out of the house. But she did not listen to her mom and went out
alone. She saw an empty house. She decided to go inside and went inside. There was no one in the
house. She went inside all the rooms. She saw so many spooky, spooky things there. There were
spiders and all the rooms were so dark. She got so scared and started crying. Soon it began to be
dark. But no one came to help her. Then she remembered her dog. She started calling Biscuit. The
dog could hear that Dolly is calling. He came searching for her friend. While Dolly was running her
dress got stuck in the door which was not coming out. Biscuit got an idea, with the help of her teeth
he pulled her dress out. They came back home. Dolly gave a tight hug to Biscuit and promised her
mother that she will never go out alone and will always listen to her.

What is inside there? Asked Sally. Let’s find out, replied Holly.
“Do you think we should go in there or should we stay outside?” asked Sally. “I think we should have
an adventure by going inside” said Holly. “OK, Let’s go” Sally said. “It is spooky in here”, Holly said.
“Booooooooooooo” Sally shouted. “Hey, you scared me Sally. That is not funny”, Holly said. “Sorry
Holly. Now, let’s go inside”, Sally said. “Oh….it is freezing in here”, Sally said. “Come on Sally. Don’t
be such a cold girl, I feel it is so hot”, Holly said. “Oh, I see a ghost”, Sally said. “ Don’t worry., it is
just a picture” Holy said. “Down they go in the hallway, I think I saw a monster. “Ahhhhhhhhhhh”…..
It is a real monster. Run away Holly” said Sally.” I am not leaving you here”, said Holly. “Okay, let’s
stay but I am so frightened that I can’t even move” said Sally.
Suddenly Bheem the superhero came and kicked the monster away. The monster turned into an old
lady. “I am a witch” said the old lay. Then Bheem the superhero picked the witch and threw her
away. Then Bheem too flew away. Sally and Holly were happy and then they went to the gold room.
They saw a ruby there and took it home.

THE BOY AND THE YELLOW FLOWER

There was a boy named Teja who lived with his parents in Bangalore. Teja loved plants and one day
he decided to get a plant and asked his parents. One day Teja was surprised to see some small
plants in his balcony, and he ran to his parents and gave them a hug and thanked them Teja was
very happy. Teja parents asked him to take care of the plant by watering it every day. Teja was
excited to water the plants every day and waited for the plants to grow. He also made sure that his
plants get enough sunlight every day after doing this for few days Teja was sad because he did not
get any flowers in his plants, but he continued to take very good care of his plants and he waited for
the flowers. One day Teja was watering the plants and he saw a small buds in his plants and after
few days he was very happy to see a beautiful yellow flower in his plant next day he got another
flower and Teja happily continued to take care of his plants.

THE LOST BALL

Once there was a boy called Jack and he was 8 years old. He lived in a city. He liked to play football.
His ball was red in colour. He always played football with his friends. One day he forgot to bring his
ball back from the school. The next day he could not find his ball and he was very sad. He and his
friends searched everywhere for the ball in the school but did not find it. Finally, they found the ball
in the bushes in the garden. When they went to pick the ball, they also saw two little puppies stuck in
the bushes and crying for help. Jack took the puppies and gave it to the class teacher. The teacher
praised Jack for saving the puppies. This way Jack was a happy boy as he found his red ball and also
saved the puppies.

TRUE STORY about Barista and Anita

Anita was a little girl who loved dogs. One day she snuck out of her house and went to a coffee shop
called Barista. And she found just what she wanted! Anita saw a handsome dog. The dog walked up
to Anita and wagged his tail. Anita wanted to take him home! She took good care of the dog. Then
Anita grew older. She had two kids called Ved and Maaya. Ved and Maaya petted and scratched the
dog. Then Anita named the dog Barista because she knew the coffee shop was called Barista.
Anita was the greatest dog trainer I ever saw. All dogs are amazing.

Fairy and the two bad girls

Once upon a time, there was a fairy named Marshmallow who lived in a beautiful fairy garden. One
day she went to a hut and she saw two girls named Bella and Fella. She greeted them saying, “Hi!”.
They looked at Marshmallow and said, “Ewww! You are so ugly, and we are so pretty”. Marshmallow
got angry, and she left the room and went to a different room. Then, Bella and Fella secretly locked
Marshmallow in the room and hid the key under their bed. In the night when Bella and Fella were in
deep sleep, Marshmallow secretly went to them and got the key. She opened the door using that key
and escaped successfully. When Bella and Fella heard the noise, they tried to catch her by shouting,
“Heyyy!! you naughty Fairy, come back”. However, it was already too late. They missed her.
Marshmallow happily escaped and decided to never go back to them.

Balloon Birthday Party

Once upon a time, there lived a family of twenty balloons. Each and every balloon were of different
shapes - circle, triangle, oval, heart and etc. And they came in vibrant colours too - bright red, purple,
golden yellow, my favourite pink and lot more! It was the youngest star balloon's birthday and they
would have a party! The theme of the party was 'shapes'. Everyone who was invited would dress up
as shapes. The birthday balloon was very excited because his daddy was bringing the 'shape' cake but
there was a disaster!! Guess what had happened?? The family pet came in between and daddy balloon
tumbled over and the cake fell down! The birthday star balloon started to cry and then mommy
balloon came and said "Don’t worry dear, we all will bake a homemade cake!"
The birthday girl exclaimed "Yay! But mommy, guests would be arriving in an hour! How are we going
to bake a cake in such a less time? And how we will clear the mess". Mommy balloon assured that
everything is just going to be fine if we all work as a team. Everyone screamed “Yay!!! Let’s do it”. All
family members got together to help each other. They cleaned the mess and baked a yummy
homemade cake. Just then the clock struck 6 pm and the guests started coming with hands full of
presents. Everyone wished the birthday girl, blasted the piñata and enjoyed the yummy homemade
cake. After the guest left birthday girl said to his family, “This was the best birthday ever, and if they
can celebrate all his birthday like this one”.

LIZZY THE LIZARD

Once upon a time there was a lizard he was going home. When he was walking in the forest he met a
horse on his way. The horse asked the Lizard where he was going? The lizard replied that he was
going home. The horse requested the lizard to be his friend and the lonely lizard agreed happily.
They both met every day in the woods, by the riverside and sometimes at the stable.
One day the horse invited the lizard to meet his new friend who was the Unicorn.There were two
people who were hunting for animals and they found the lizard and caught him and kept him in a
box and locked it. The new friends were waiting for the lizard. They thought he got caught by
somebody and went searching for him and found the two people in a tent. The unicorn and the
horse made a loud noise. The two people came out of the tent hoping they found another animal.
His friends ran into the tent and found the box and they picked up the key beside the box and
unlocked it and set the lizard free. They all were so happy and ran away from there into the woods.

Apple Day

One day I went to the Apple farm with my family for apple picking. I saw so many beautiful apple
trees and yummy red apples on the tree. I was so excited to see so many apples and many were
fallen on the ground too. Me and my family took the basket and went for apple picking. My basket
was full of red apples.
We enjoyed a lot. We came to the shade and enjoyed eating the yummy apples. It’s beautiful to see
how nicely the apple orchard is maintained. It must be real hard work for the workers. I saw a lot of
workers picking up the fallen apples and cleaning the dried leaves. And I saw lots of other people
coming for apple picking. I had a fun filled day.

The Fox and the Bird

Once up on a time there lived a fox and a bird in the forest. The fox was hungry and was in search for
his food, suddenly he saw a bird flying with an apple in its mouth, so the fox had an idea to take that
apple from the bird.
He called the bird and said that I heard from my friends that your voice is so nice, so can you please
sing a song for me, after hearing this the bird felt so happy and started singing the song. While
singing the song the apple has gone out the bird’s mouth, then the fox jumped to it and ate the
apple. That day the bird realized that you should never make a mistake like this listening to the
sweet words of others
The moral of the story is that you should never get so happy and forget yourself when someone says
good things about you, because this will cause problems to us!

The Little Blue Goat

In the forest there was a little blue goat. The goat was very good. However, the animals thought
he was very bad and laughed at him because he looked blue. One day an elephant came to the
forest and he saw the animals laughing at the little blue goat. The elephant said, “blue is a nice
color”, “why are you laughing at him?” They said that he is different. Elephant said it is not bad
because he is different. They asked why? He said see the lion sleeping under the tree. The male
one has a mane, but the female does not have a mane. The elephant asked, “Did you
understand what I mean”. “Yes”, said the animals. So, the lesson is that everybody is unique.

THE CHICK’S ADVENTURE

Once upon a time there was a hen family with a father, mother and two chicks. The mother chick was a
very mean and wicked hen. She wanted everything for herself and did not want to share with the rest of
the family. She did not like her chicks and tried to get rid of them.
The mother hen always tried various ways to get rid of the chicks, one day mother hen took the chicks to
the forest to leave them there forever, but the baby chicks were very smart and intellegent. They figured
out that the mother hen was tryng to get rid of them. So they prepared themselves and collected a lot of
pebbles in a bag and they dropped pebbles and made a path from their home to the forest where the evil
hen had left them, so that they could easily find the way back home.
After the mother hen had left the chicks, they found their way home by following the pebble path they
had made. Their father was very worried and was waiting for the chicks to come back home as it was
getting late in the evening. When he saw the chicks he was relieved and they told their father what the
mother hen had done. He got very angry with the mother hen and fought with her and father took both
the baby chicks and went away to a far of land, where the mother hen could never find them.They built a
beautiful house in the far of land and the father and the two chicks lived happly ever after.

One day Ryan went to Goa with his parents and Aadhav. Goa has beautiful beaches.
They went to beach to play in water. A puppy named cupcake fell into the water in the beach.
Ryan and Aadhav want to rescue the puppy. They swim and rescue the puppy. All played in the beach
happily.

THE PENCIL THAT COULDN’T DRAW A HEART.

Jack was eight years old. His sister Annie was seven years old. Both of them liked to go on adventures.
One-day Jack tried to draw a heart, but his pencil stopped. ‘’Huh,’’ said Jack.

Jack and Annie went to their friend Reyansh. Jack said, “My pencil can’t draw a heart.” Reyansh replied,
“Maybe your pencil is under a spell.’’
The next day they thought maybe a spell book was in the attic. In one minute, they found a spell book.
They used one spell from the spell book to free the pencil. Then they could draw hearts again.

A SNOW MAN

Once upon a time Kylie and George woke up and looked through their window and it was snowing
everywhere. They quickly changed their clothes and went to play with the snow and when they were
playing, they got an idea to make a snow man. They started to build a snow man and after they are done
building it, they felt exhausted and the took a nap. After a few minutes they woke up and saw a miracle,
they saw the snow man walking and they were shocked to see that happening. And they went near to the
snow man and said how are you able to walk and the snow man replied you have made me with special
snow and that is why I am able to walk and speak. The two kids started playing with the snowman all day.

In the jungle there was two besties Eva and Liva. They went to explore, suddenly they came to a river.
They saw an alligator, the alligator was not letting Eva and Liva in river. They started to think,they got an
idea, than Eva distracted the alligator and Liva came on boat than. Eva came on rocks, they saved each
other.

THE BABY WOLF’S ADVENTURE

Once upon a time there was a dad wolf and a baby wolf. One day the baby wolf told the dad that she
wants to go to visit her grandmother’s house which was located in the dense forest behind the mountain.
Dad wolf agreed and both of them set out to the grandmother’s house. On the way, the baby wolf saw a
moose and wanted to chase it. She got distracted. The dad wolf told the baby wolf to follow him and not
get distracted from her focus.
The baby wolf understood and followed the dad wolf. When they reached their grandmother’s house, the
baby wolf had lots of fun and good food.
She felt very happy that she didn’t go after the moose and came straight to the grandmother’s house.
The moral of the story is that one should remain focused on one’s aim and not get distracted from it.

THE BABY GIRL AND THE DOG

In a small town, there was a beautiful house.

In that
house, there lived a baby girl her name was Rosy. She used to live with her one and only friend whose
name was “Super Dog”.

One day, a stranger came inside Rosy’s house. She pleaded to the stranger not to catch her but he caught
Rosy and started running.

Rosy shouted help! Help!

The Super Dog heard and came to save her. It chased the stranger out of Rosy’s house.

TIGRESS'S BIG ROAR

GRADE 1

Once upon a time there was a rabbit named Ribby with her friend Tigress. She was very stripy.
Soon a wolf came. I will eat this rabbit, he said. He pounced on the Rabbit! Soon Tigress saw Ribby was in
trouble so she roared so loudly that the wolf got scared and ran away. Ribby thanked Tigress for saving
her.
They walked home happily ever after.

THE CRETACEOUS
NEIL JOHNROSE

GRADE1B

Nagercoil, a place in Tamil Nadu - home to three scientists called Brice, Lamnist and Rame. They made
dinosaurs come back to life and were happy until the dinosaurs escaped captivity.

I’m Neil and this is the adventure that my cousins and I went through. Their names are Calvin and
Nolan. We were playing cricket in the backyard, it was our favourite game to play. Calvin is the fastest,
Neil is a pro in dinosaurs and Nolan is the smallest but doesn’t get tired easily.

We were having so much fun until a dinosaur entered the house, breaking the gate. “What is that!!!”
Calvin and Nolan screamed. “That’s a Spinosaurus” I said. Spinosaurus is a giant theropod dinosaur
which can grow up to 60 feet. The one that had entered the house was 42 feet at least. “Run!” Calvin
said as the Spinosaurus hit the wicket. But before it could attack us, the Spinosaurus slipped, hit a tree
and still ran but could not get us for breakfast. Then we found a small unused treehouse, so we climbed
the tree and rested

After days of being away from home, the treehouse was the perfect place for us. Luckily, I had grabbeda
map and some food before we left home. Our treehouse had three floors and a observation level in the
third floor to look out for dinosaurs. There was a forest around it with a small lake near the treehouse.
We also ate fruits and berries from the forest.

One day the scientists got greedy and built a monster called the Vanotaurus. The Vanotaurus was the
worst dinosaur ever.They were excited, but the Vanotaurus attacked them and escaped captivity
heading into the jungle.
After a few days, just as we were eating breakfast a loud roar came from the forest. When I got to the
observation deck I saw a Carnataurus which is a big theropod dinosaur. It is a meat eater feeding on other

plant-eating dinosaurs like triceratops. I picked up the map and Calvin, Nolan and I ran out of the
treehouse. Then the Vanotaurus emerged from the trees but soon it got distracted by the Carnataurus so
they charged at each other until the Carnataurus defeated the hybrid. Then it went away into the jungle.
Just when we thought it was safe we heard another roar! “Oh come on” I said. It was a T.Rex andwith no
other choice we ran, but the T.Rex followed. We had run for hours and somehow the T.Rex hit atree and
lost us. Finally we saw a familiar street and…could it be home?????? Yes it was! We were so happy!

The scientists learned from their mistakes of making new hybrids in Nagercoil and relocated the
dinosaurs to another island called Dino Island. They did not harm people anymore.

THE MAGIC SPIDERMAN BOX
SAMAKSH RAM GOWDA
GRADE 1B

I got a new Spiderman box. One day I was playing with it and was wishing for a big
chocolate, zip-zap-zoom and the chocolate was on my table. My Spiderman box was magic.
Next, I wished to fight bad guys just like Spiderman and zip-zap-zoom I went inside the
magic box. I and Spiderman fought robbers, swinged and jumped from poles and buildings.
It was a lot of fun. But one day I saw my brother Pratham sitting in front of the laptop, I
remembered all the fights and fun games we played together. I asked Spiderman to send me
back and zip-zap-zoom I came back home. I was very happy to play with Pratham.
Spiderman was fun but it is more fun with Pratham and I love him.

THE LITTLE TREASURE HUNTER RAYA

Once upon a time there was a poor little girl named Raya.
She saw an ant and the ant told her that the treasure is in the deepest lake.
Raya went to the deepest lake.
She found a boat and after sailing for a long time she saw the treasure.
She jumped out of excitement.
She took the treasure to her family, and they were no more poor and they lived happily ever
after.

SURPRISE BREAKFAST

In a jungle, there was a little cub living with his daddy lion and mommy lion. One day, the little
cub wanted to make breakfast for his mommy lion as a surprise. So, he woke up early and

take daddy lion’s help. He gently woke the daddy lion up and told his plan. The daddy lion
appreciated the cub and agreed to help him. While they began to gather ingredients, the
mommy lion woke up. The little cub got upset as he could not finish preparing the surprise
breakfast. Knowing about the surprise plan, the mommy lion felt very proud of her son for
trying his best. Then, they all prepared breakfast together, ate happily and had loads of fun.

COCO AND BELLA

There lived as dog named coco and the cat named Bella they both use to meet at morning
and evening walking everyday they both use to love seeing each other, they liked playing
with each other suddenly one day coco got sick and couldn’t come for walks for a week.
Bella was not aware of it and would wait for coco every morning and evening and was very
upset that it could not meet its best friend. After a week coco came got better and came for
walk as soon as Bella saw Coco it ran towards coco with excitement
of seeing coco after so long and jumped on coco and they both were
happy after playing with each other
Moral: Animal also have feelings we should not harm them.

Once upon a time there lived a farmer. He lived in a village. He had a farm where he farmed
carrots. He got into farming carrots because it was his favourite vegetable since childhood.
He used to eat carrot in all ways - like raw, in soups, in curries, in juice and in everything he
ate throughout the day.

One day, he went to the market and found that carrots had gone out of stock. He then
understood that there were only small farmers supplying to the market. So that is why he
started making a big farm and planted carrots in the farm.
He did what he loved, that is, farming carrots. He learnt how to farm tasty carrots.
He supplied enormous amounts of carrots to the market. That is when he started to become
very popular and came to be known as the “Carrot Magician”.

THE TWO BROTHERS
REYANSH KIDIYOOR

Once upon a time there were two brothers. They were Elt and Egnit. They were both five
years. Both the brothers loved collecting and playing with cars. They bought cars from a toy
shop near their home.
One day, their parents give both of them money for their birthday. Both the brothers went
to the toy shop to buy new cars. Egnit buys one new car. Elt buys ten cars. Egnit tells Elt
don’t be greedy. Elt doesn’t listen.
So, Egnit reminds him of one story about the greedy milkman. The milkman used to supply
milk to his village. He used to earn enough money but was always unhappy. He wanted a big
house and a car. So, one day he came up with a plan and started putting only little water in
his milk. The villagers didn’t notice. Slowly, he started to put more water in the milk to earn
more money. In this way he could supply the same quantity of milk to more villages. But as
time passed, the villagers started noticing that the milk tasted like water. And they stopped
buying from him. The milkman became poor again and had to sell off his car and house. He
realized his mistake and started milk supply again.
After hearing the story, Elt too realized that it was not good to waste money and buy toys
which he already had. So, he decided to buy only one car.
Moral: Don’t be greedy.

THE FUN IN MAKING NEW FRIENDS

This is a story about three kids who were new to school and how they became the best
of friends. When new session started in school, 3 new kids joined school and met each
other for the first time.
Their names were Maddie, Frank and Dru. Frank and Maddie used to sit next to each other
and really enjoyed sharing things and soon became good friends. Gru was a naughty, fun
loving boy who enjoyedplaying pranks on other kids. He would trouble Maddie every now
and then and so Maddie would be mad at him and did not want to become his friend.
But then Frank explained Maddie how it was fun in making friends with different kinds of
people even ifwe could not see their best side in the beginning and how everyone is
different but that does not meanthey can’t be your friend.
Maddie soon understood what Frank wanted to explain and gave Dru a chance at
becoming her friendtoo.
Now she also saw the fun in Dru’s pranks and played many games with him as well. They
too soonbecame friends.
Now all 3 of them, Frank, Maddie and Dru would hang out together, share their snacks,
played in thefield and became really good friends for life.
Moral of the story: Always be open to making new friends, its fun!

THE BOY CALLED NICHOLAS

Once up on a time there was a boy name Nicholas went to a nearby forest with his papa for
collecting wood. They finished cutting the wood and wanted to get back home, it was
evening by then. While returning home a hungry black bear appeared from nowhere. Both
Nicholas and his papa were scared and started running back home in different routes. Bear
got confused which direction to run and could not chase both of them.
Later in the night Nicholas and his papa sat down for dinner and explained the whole story
to his mama. They were laughing how they confused the bear and all of them went back to
sleep.

THE LITTLE RESCUER AND THE EXPLORER
VIHAAN MOHAN

I was travelling to the jungle along with my parents on my vacation. We stayed at
Jungle Lodgeslocated at B R Hills, upon reaching we stayed in the Log Huts. After
having lunch with my parents and resting for a while we went for a safari ride in
the jeep deep into the jungle. On our way we saw an elephant stuck in the bushes
and trying to come out of it as it was alone. We informed the forest officials and
they came and rescued the elephant by cutting down the bushes and clearing its
path. We also spotted Bison, Langoors, spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Samba Deer,
peacocks, wild chicken and also few tortoises in the pond. Thereafter we returned
back to the huts.

Next day morning we went for a early morning walk for bird watching and
we saw different birds making unique sounds and also got to know that few
birds migrate in different seasons. Afterreturning from the walk we packed our
bags and returned back home happily from the trip.

The 3 Mens Adventure

Once upon a time there were 3 people wanted to go on a snow mountain trek. They wanted to
have an adventure and climb the mountain but as they were coming back; due to lot of snow
they lost their track. They were very scared as they were running out of food and water and night
was about to come. IT was very cold and the temperature was -15 degree. It was freezing. At
night wild animals can come to harm them. So there were stuck on a snow mountain with no
plan. One of them got an idea to use his compass to point north because he knew his town was
on north side. Then they all started to walk north. One of them was not paying attention so he
fell down and broke his leg as he landed all his weight on the right leg. The other two decided to
go down to save him and carry him back. When they reached down they found their friend’s leg
was broken. They helped him get back up and slowly they started going north. On their way they
heard a wolf howl. They were now very scared. They started to increase their speed. Night was
coming and it was getting colder. Luckily they saw a small cabin with someone inside. They were
very happy and went inside the cabin to find another climber. The climber greeted them and said
he knows the way back to the town but it is dark. We have to rest for the night and then in the
morning start our trek back home.
The cabin had some biscuits and some juice. They happily ate and drank and then finally fell
asleep. Next day they said let us start to go north but the other climber said "No it is not north!
it is west". So they started trekking west and finally after 4 hours of trek they reached the small
town and were saved. This accident made them like each other and became friends.

Once upon a time there lived a fisherman. One day he went to the lake. He got lots of
fishes. One orange color fish came in the net and she starts talking to him. She told “please let
me go, I will bring my friends tomorrow for you to catch more fishes. “The fisherman said “ok I
will let you go and tomorrow I will wait for you.” The fish escaped from the net.
Then the next day the fisherman came to the lake with a hope that he will get lots of fishes. When
he reached the lake, he was shocked to see that there was not even a single fish. The fisherman
waited for hours and hours but no fish was seen, and the fisherman left home empty handed.
The clever fish fooled the fisherman and lived happily ever after.
Moral of the story: When in trouble always think a way out and be a clever Thinker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
