the concept are: "high-performance culture, accuracy, knowledge,
innovation, integrity, strong will, loyalty, and wisdom.".
An official logo and slogan have been introduced along with the launch of
the 1Malaysia concept. The logo is the symbol of '1' which incorporates
the national Jalur Gemilang flag and the word Malaysia. The government
has spent RM38 million to promote former Prime Minister Najib Abdul

Malay community who gives utmost respect to those who are humble.
Common courtesy and politeness needs to be a part of our daily routine.
ACCESSION NO. To be humble does not mean that we bow down or surrender to others.
These abilities need not be flaunted or be showcased in an obnoxious
2018/0007583W way. Malaysians are extremely humble and accord much respect to
others but possess inner strength and strong will towards certain
principles.
Humility must be accorded suitably depending on time, situation and
place. When we are overseas and dealing with foreigners, we have to
demonstrate our strength, confidence and ability as Malaysians but not
through abrasiveness, oppression or hostility.

Loyalty must be accompanied by the ability to execute jobs or tasks

The curriculum that has been developed for these three types of schools

The Concept of

RACIAL HARMONY
The 1Malaysia concept had been widely disseminated FIGURE 10:

nation that they seek through the 1Malaysia concept.

journalist reported that this scenario occurred after
the 2008 General Election, when most citizens, 18
whether Malay, Chinese, or Indian, lost trust in
government, and the BN lost their state to the
opposition party, resulting in a federal parliament
majority of fewer than two-thirds. They fail to
grasp how the concept of 1Malaysia contributes to
racial harmony.
UNITY
Another crucial aspect of the 1 Malaysia FIGURE 12 :

The government's budget implementation has received a nationwide survey by a research company that
found the majority of Malaysians appreciate the government's efforts to provide aids in the form of ringgit.
Malaysia citizens grateful that BR1M aid has reached the targeted group. However, there are also those who
think that BR1M has failed to meet its goals. The study conducted from Feb 20-27, also found some of them
used BR1M money to pay monthly bills and pay for their children’s schooling. Dr Syed Arabi Idid, who
shared the findings with Bernama, said it was not surprising that 71.1 per cent of respondents gave the view
that BR1M, which was first introduced in 2012, had won the hearts of the people who wanted it to continue
in the future. This is because of the rising cost of living, 65.1 per cent of respondents admitted that BR1M
has helped ease their financial burden with only 25.6 per cent saying otherwise, said the former rector of the
International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) and advisor to the data survey.

CONCLUSION
The Concept of 1Malaysia aspires to strengthen relationships among races and ensures
Malaysians sow the seed of unity as enshrined in the National Principles. Mutual trust and respect
among races need to exist in order to show the spirit of unity. People must understand and practice
things that place national interests as a priority. Through 1Malaysia, no one will feel alienated because
everyone belongs to one race, the Malaysian race, which has the same goals and aspirations to develop
the country. In creating a unified national race in a multi-racial country like Malaysia in this era of
globalization, it is imperative that we allow a free and fast flow of not just information, capital, and
people but also value systems, cultures, and beliefs from different countries. The ability to build a
unified national race depends on the sharing of the values of integrity, ability, dedication, and loyalty.
