Jester

Jester

Jester hether it be performing for kings in high courts or lowly taverns on a stage sticky with spilled mead, jesters always find a place to perform for the masses. Often likened to bards, jesters always know the right moment to crack a joke, the right song to play to ease tension, and even the right insult to throw someone’s way to distract them. Masters at dazzling crowds and gathering attention, they often manage to slink away with the wallets and jewelry of the unsuspecting patrons merely enjoying the show. Bonus Proficiencies When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with the Disguise Kit, Forgery Kit and two instruments of your choice. Crowd Pleaser At 3rd level, your practice and ease at performing for audiences can turn your fumbles into victories. When you make a Dexterity or Charisma skill check or saving throw, you can add your Charisma modfier to the total. You can do this before or after you know if you will succeed or not. You can do this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifer (minimum of once) per long rest. Arcane Acrobat At 9th level, your talents of tumbling and slinging barbs can help you to escape unwanted attention. You know the Vicious Mockery cantrip, and can cast it as a bonus action. Charisma is your spellcasting ability score. It does not count against your number of spells known, should you have any. In addition, when a creature targets you with an opportunity attack, you can use your reaction to make a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check (DC = 1 + creature’s attack roll) to dodge the attack and take no damage. Stunning Performance At 13th level, your peerless wit and unconventional style of combat can leave the enemies you strike dazed and confused. When you hit a creature with your Sneak Attack, they must make a Charisma saving throw (DC 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus) or be unable to take reactions and have it’s movement speed reduced to 0 until the end of it’s next turn. In addition, you gain proficiency in Charisma saving throws. Encore! At 17th level, your remarkable shows of skill and bravado often deserve a repeat performance. you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. In addition, creatures hit by your Sneak Attack must remove an amount equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) from the first attack roll, ability check or saving throw they make until the start of your next turn.
