When you make this class think of a Navy seal or elite soldier with their trusty ally taking on what ever challenge comes before them. A more martial class with some control and flexibility from their abilities and spells Class Features As a Drone commando, you gain the following class features Hit Points Hit dice: 1d8 per Drone Commando level Hit points at first level 8 + your constitution modifier Hit point at higher levels 1d8 (or 5) + your constitution modifier per your Drone Commando level after 1st Proficiencies Armor: light armor Weapons: Simple weapons, Tools: none Saving Throws: Intelligence and Constitution Skills: choose two Deception, Sleight of Hand, Stealth, Athletic, Acrobatics, Perception, Investigation, and Persuasion < Equipment You start with the following equipment, in addition to the equipment granted by your background: (a) two handaxes or (b) a shortsword and shield or (c) shortbow and 20 arrows in a quiver (a) leather armor and bracers or (b) studded leather armor, or (c) common clothes and pouch of 25 gp (a) a book or (b) trophy from enemy Multiclassing You need to have 13 intelligence and constitution to multi class into drone commando. You gain 2 skills and light armor proficiecy when you multiclass into drone commando
Drone Basics Spells Drone commando uses the drone commando spell list and uses Intelligence as its casting modifier. You know an amount of spells equal to spells you can cast at your level in drone commando You regain spell slots and change spells known on a long rest. Spell Save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your intelligence modifier Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your intelligence modifier Drone Summoning At first level, you have learned to summon a sentient drones. A number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest you can summon a drone which uses the statblock at the end of the class description. You can communicate with this drone telepathically out to a range of 120 feet which increases by 10 feet for each level in this class. If you wish to provide it with items, they must be custom made to fit their unique and alien form. A drone ooze reduced to 0hp returns to its home plane, and may be summoned again in 10 minutes later with a ritual Sharing is Caring Additionally at first level you can benefit from your drone's abilities, and they in turn from yours. Whenever you gain an Ability Score Improvement, so do your drones. You can also, as a bonus action, feed off your drone's energy, gaining their abilities for a minute. You can only have this active for a number of minutes equal to your level in this class. You can only gain the benefit once from your drone. DC is determined by 8+int modifier+ proficiency modifier. Abilities that require an an attack roll use intelligence modifier+ proficiency modifier Smart defense At third level you can add your intelligence modifier to your armor class if you are wearing no armor Speed boost Upon reaching seventh level, your drone ooze adds 10 feet to its movement speed and the range they can share their abilities reach another 10 feet. The drone can now disengage as a bonus action Dangerous Duo At 9th level any allies within 30 feet add half drone commando intelligence modifier to their hit. you can now adjust the evolutions of your drone up to drone commandos intelligence modifier on a short rest Improved Speed boost At 11th level, your drone ooze gets faster and adds another 20 feet of movement and range to the range they can share their abilities. Drone can now disengage as a free action and has advantage on saves versus the fear and paralyzed status condition Energy adept Also at 13th level, The drone commando now are able to add force damage to each of their attacks and spells equal to thier proficiency modifier. Durable Drone At 17th level, your drone ooze now benefits from a bonus to saving throws equal to your Intelligence modifier if they are within 30 feet of you. Your drone now has advantage on saves versus the stunned, grappled or restrained condition
Evolution Overdrive At 20th level, you may forcefully mutate your drone as a bonus action, changing a number of evolutions up to your Intelligence modifier as a bonus action. You can do this once per long rest. Archetypes Bodyguard Emergency Aid At 2nd level, you can provide some minor emergency first aid. As a bonus action you can heal a creature that you can touch for a number of hitpoints equal to your hit die. You can do this a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier, regaining all expended uses on a short rest. Battlefield Support At 5th level, allies within range to share abilities of you or your drone ooze can add half the drone commando's Intelligence modifier to their Armour Class as long as one of you are conscious In the Nick of Time From 10th level, they may also add your Battlefield Support bonus to any saving throws they make whilst within range. Swarm Pheromones From 15th level, allies that begin their turn within range of your drone ooze gain healing equal to 1d8 plus constitution modifier an amount of turns equal to the drone commando proficiency modifier plus intelligence modifier Parasitic Syphon At 19th level, when your drone commando or an ally hits an enemy, a nearby ally in 60 foot range heals for up to half of the damage dealt. Drone Expert Drone Superiority When you choose this subclass, starting at level 2, your drone is able to speak and send images to anyone with in its range. The drone can automatically translate any of the languages known by those connected to the drone Drone Support At 5th level, your drone through your telepathic link gets a 1d4 to all skill checks the drone commando is proficient in while within range to share abilities with the drone commando you can only do this once per turn before the results are announced. At 10th level the bonus becomes a d6. At 15th level becomes a d8 Drone Possession At level 10, your drone can use anything it has absorbed as an improvised weapon and is proficient with improvised weapon Drone Regeneration At level 15, you can use as a bonus action heal half the damage you do on a successful melee attack Drone Strike At level 19, your drone gains the drone strike action on a successful hit, dealing 2d10+dexterity mod. Or on a successful hit the creature that was hit rolls a con save, 8+dex mod+proficiency bonus, if it fails, it is knocked prone. The target also and the drone gains a point of exhaustion on a fail
Sibling Dynamic Duo Sibling Care When you choose this subclass starting at level 2, Your done can convert organic materials it eats into gummies up to the amount equal to the drone commando's proficiency modifier once per long rest. Each ration heals whoever eats it as a bonus action equal to the drone commando's proficiency modifier but they loose their effectiveness after a long rest Sibling Communication At 2nd level, you are able to speak to and through your drone while within 180 feet of them. You can each see through each others senses without loosing any of your senses Sibling Connection At 5th level, while within range to share abilities of your drone, you both gain a +1d4 to all attack rolls, while within 15 feet of each other, the bonus increases to a d6 at 10th level and a d8 at 15th level Sibling Interception At 10th level, as a reaction, while within 30 feet of each other, one of you roll a d6+dex mod and the number one got, one takes, and is removed from the damage on the other. Improved Interceptio Greater sibling interception At level 15, when you use sibling inception, you transfer 1d10+dex mod to you Sibling Strike At level 19, as an action, one sibling can throw the other into the air, and then shove them mid air, and the sibling thrown does 1d12+proficiency modifier bludgeoning damage to anyone in a ten foot radius makes a con save or take 1d12+proficiency modifier necrotic damage as well as a point of exhaustion and half damage on a successful save. The sibling that was thrown also gains a point of exhaustion
Evolutions You have a number of Evolution Points as shown in the Drone commando table. You may change the chosen evolutions at the end of a long rest. 1 point Evolutions Skilled The drone can equal to the drone commando's proficiency modifier use its hit die to assist in a skill the drone commando is already proficient in currently this ability must be used before Conduit Any spells you or an allies cast can have the point of orgin of yourself or your drone as long as cast within 30 feet of the drone Perfect recall The drone will remember perfectly anything it has used any of its senses to detect while it has this evolution Camoflauge The drone can change its color to allow it to get +10 on stealth checks for 10 minutes amount equal to drone commando intelligence modifier per long res 2 point Evolutions Mobile 1: once per turn as a bonus action target up to the drone commando's intelligence modifier amount of targets they gain 15 feet of movement as well as jump distance and can disengage as a bonus action for a round. Can only be taken once Infiltrate 1: once per turn as a bonus action target drone or allies up to drone commando's intelligence modifier amount of targets gain 15 feet of swim and climb speed while this drone is within 30 feet for a round. Taunting 1: target creatures up to drone commando's proficiency modifier have the drone commando's proficiency modifier reduced to the to hit on attacks within 30 ft. Takes a bonus action to use this ability or to change targets. Can only be taken once Potent: increase the DC for any save an enemy has to make by 2 can only be taken 3 times Monstrous 1: while this drone is within 30 feet, all allies or drone commando add 5 feet reach to their attacks Observation 1: all allies or the drone up to the drone commando's intelligence modifier have blindsight within 30 ft. 3 point Evolutions Mobile 2:Once per turn target up to intelligence modifier of the drone commando amount of targets as a bonus action they gain 30 feet of movement for any drone or ally targeted by this ability. The drone or ally must be within 30 feet to be a target. Must have mobile 1. Can only be taken once Monsterous 2: this bonus increases to any allies or drone commando within 30 ft and an extra 10 foot reach to all attack. Requires monstrous 1. Can only be taken once Observation 2: all drones and allies up to drone commando's intelligence modifier have tremorsense within 60 feet for each drone or allies within 30 ft of the drone Must have observation 1. Can only be taken once 4 point Evolutions Lock down: whenever a drone in range of 30 feet a target on a hit by the drone commando or an ally makes a con save or the targets movement is reduced to zero until the drone's next turn. Can only be taken once Control: As an action a target within 30 feet is charmed or frightened for a minute intelligence save to resist no effect if the target succeeds. if the target is damaged they snap out of it. They are aware that they have been charmed or frightened after it wears off. This is only while this drone is within 30 feet otherwise the effect ends . Can only be taken once Infiltrate 2: this changes this bonus to 20 feet for targeted drones or allies starting within 30 ft and they gain a fly speed equal to their movement. Requires infiltrate 1. Can only be taken once Taunting 2: increases to include ability checks and saves for any within 30 ft of a drone or ally. You can not target the same being twice with this ability. Requires taunting 1. Can only be taken once Extend: extended the range of the abilities of drone 30 feet Swapping: drone commando can teleport besides it's swarm up to the drone commando's intelligence modifier per short rest.
