Collection_ Oozes - The Homebrewery

T Collection: Oozes hese amorphous creatures are often found in dark, wet dungeons where they feed on anything that dies there. Oozes are unintelligent and often predatory creatures, moving mindlessly through corridors in search of prey. When locating a living creature, oozes do not think twice about the risk, but simply attack. Their motivation is hunger, and their subpar intelligence doesn't allow them to consider the size, strength or abilities of their opponent; it only makes them seek to engulf it. This collection presents three new oozes, their statistics and their behavior. Cave lurk. These purple-blackish oozes are generally found in natural caves, where they stick to the ceiling and wait until unsuspecting prey passes by. The cave lurk has a nasty habit of dropping on top of its prey and attempting to dissolve it with its acidic body. Their dark coloration makes them difficult to perceive in darkness, to the advantage of the ooze, which has evolved to be naturally stealthy. Whenever the necron slime is subjected to necrotic damage, it takes no damage and instead regains a number of hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt. Actions Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 4 bludgeoning damage plus 1d6 necrotic damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be affected by the slime's Necron Rot disease. Engulf. The slime attempts to enter up to 2 other creatures' spaces, provided that they are within 5 feet of each other. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or be captured within the slime. On a failed save, the creature is blinded and restrained and takes 4d6 necrotic damage. At the start of the slime's turn, it takes another 4d6 necrotic damage. When the slime moves, the engulfed creature moves with it. An engulfed creature can try to escape by taking an action to make a DC 13 Strength check. On a success, the creature escapes and enters a space of its choice within 5 feet of the slime.
