Spriggan he forests and groves of the world have always had guardians, from druids to Treants. But one kind of guardian goes unnoticed, ones that prefer to stay out of the limelight and preserve the peace in their natural domains. The spriggans. A close relative of the Treants, spriggans are humanoid plants that greatly resemble small trees. A naturally resilient race, they are usually quite peaceful, spending the majority of their long lives serenely coinciding with nature. Spriggan Traits Ability Score Increase Your Constitution increases by 2. Two other ability scores increase by 1, or one increases by 2. Your Constitution can go beyond 20, to a max of 22. Gift of the Forest Spriggans are born hardy and tough, fully maturing within a few months and outliving many other races, including dragons and elves. Without outside forces, spriggans usually live for roughly 3000 to 5000 years, with some claiming to be closer to 8000. Such a large timescale can make verification difficult for such claims. A shield’s benefits apply as normal. Unmoving Spriggans are known to live in large groups, dwelling within forests in the hundreds. Other races often have difficulty telling them apart, from each other and the regular trees around them. As an action, you can root yourself in place, provided the environment and ground would allow you to. While you remain motionless in this state, you are indistinguishable from a normal tree.
