Primordial_Fire_Goblin

Appearance The Primordial Fire Goblins stand at around 11 feet tall. At first glance, they might be mistaken for oversized goblins, but their fiery features set them apart. They possess fiery hair, some even sport fiery beards, which blaze with an otherworldly intensity. Their eyes lack pupils, replaced by burning flames that seem to dance and flicker. Their claws are the most remarkable feature; these searing hot appendages emit such intense heat that the air shimmers and wavers around them. History The Primordial Fire Goblins share a similar origin to their kin among the Primordial Goblins. They were among Maglubiyet’s attempts to create a formidable force by utilizing a vial of Annam the All-Father’s blood. During Maglubiyet’s skirmish against Annam’s giants, the Primordial Fire Goblins proved to be a formidable force. They cut through many of Annam’s giants, especially the frost giants. However, their power proved too much for Maglubiyet to control. After encountering the fire giants on the battlefield, a truce was called. Recognizing the magnificence of these fiery beings, the Primordial Fire Goblins forged a pact with the fire giants, a bond that endures to this day. Behaviour The influence of their coexistence with fire giants has significantly shaped the behavior and traditions of the Primordial Fire Goblins. They often attempt to forge their own weapons in the giants’ forges, driven by the desire to craft powerful implements. However, their goblin nature sometimes hampers their craftsmanship, and their attempts at crafting weapons are often less than successful, and don’t even get me started on their attempts are forging armour. Primordial Fire Goblins tend to be solemn and thoughtful in their demeanour. Yet, several times a year, their inner goblin spirit takes hold, compelling them towards mischief and pranks. This mischievous streak can sometimes lead to their expulsion from the fire giant tribe. Inner Goblin Unbeknownst to the Primordial Fire Goblins, their sporadic bouts of mischief and prankster behaviour are not influenced by divine powers or the shifting of seasons, as they may believe. Instead, these behaviours are ignited by something much simpler: proximity to their smaller goblin kin. When a goblin tribe passes by their fire giant encampment, the Primordial Fire Goblins unknowingly sense their presence, becoming more goblin-like as their inner nature takes over. The chosen ability lasts until the start of its next turn: Inferno Aura. The Primordial Fire Goblin’s body erupts in flames, causing it to catch fire. Any creature that makes a melee attack against it takes 1d8 fire damage. Hot Glob. As a bonus action, the Primordial Fire Goblin can spit a small phlegmy fireball at a point within range. If a creature is in that spot, it must succeed on a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or take 1d10 fire damage at the start of each of its turns until it or an ally uses an action to put out the flames. If the saving throw fails, the square also catches fire and will burn for 1 hour. Blue Flame Blade. The Primordial Fire Goblin channels its fiery essence into its weapons. Its melee attacks now deal an additional 1d8 fire damage. Fury of the Large (Recharge 6). A combination of pressure and the Primordial Fire Goblin’s immense heat causes the grappled creature’s blood to boil, dealing 3d8 fire damage.
