Phoenix Gift Vermilion Magic You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Vermilion Spells table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. These spells can’t be replaced when you gain a level in this class. Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a divination or an evocation spell from the sorcerer, paladin, or wizard spell list. Vermilion Spells Spell Level Spells 1st burning hands, detect evil and good 3rd continual flame, lesser restoration 5th daylight, revivify 7th fire shield, wall of fire 9th flame strike, greater restoration Ignite At 1st level, you gain the ability to start fires with a touch. As an action, you can magically ignite a flammable object you touch with your hand—an object such as a torch, a piece of tinder, or the hem of drapes. Vermilion Mantle Starting at 1st level, you can unleash the phoenix fire that blazes within you. As a bonus action, you magically wreathe yourself in swirling fire, as your eyes glow like hot coals. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits: You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. You gain resistance to fire and radiant damage. Whenever you roll fire damage on your turn, the roll gains a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest. Once you have reached 5th level, you can expend 5 sorcery points to use this feature again. Phoenix Down At 6th level, when you expend a spell slot to cast a spell that includes a fire damage roll, you can restore hit points equal to the slot’s level + your Charisma modifier to yourself or to a creature you can see within 30ft. Fire Form At 10th level, while under your Vermilion Mantle feature you can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing. Any creature that touches or hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet of you takes 1d10 fire damage. In addition, the you can enter a hostile creature's space and stop there. The first time you enters a creature's space on a turn, that creature takes 1d10 fire damage. With a touch, you can also ignite flammable objects that aren't worn or carried (no action required). Phoenix Mantle At 18th level, you finally master the spark of fire that dances within you. While under the effect of your Vermilion Mantle feature, you gain additional benefits: You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover. You have resistance to all damage. The first time each combat you or a creature you can see is reduced to 0 hit points you can restore the spark of life. You or that creature are reduced to 1 hit point instead.
