Otherworldly Patron Ancient Beast: Fox It is said that when a fox lives for 100 years their tail will split in two and they gain the power to change their shape. The enemy of the tanuki, the ancient fox hides its dens on the magical wellsprings of the forests in the material plane. If one were to make contact with this powerful creature they may be enthralled into its service. Fox warlocks are messengers and crafty assassins who gain their patrons mastery of shapechanging. Expanded Spell List The Ancient Fox lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. Ancient Fox Expanded Spells Spell Level Spells 1st beast bond, faerie fire 2nd animal messenger, pass without trace 3rd conjure animals, tiny servant 4th guardian of nature, divination 5th commune with nature, dispel evil and good Kitsune Magic Starting at 1st level, your service to your patron has afforded you the following boons. You gain the message cantrip, it counts as a warlock spell for you and doesn't count against spells known. Additionally, You can speak to Foxes as if you were under the effects of the Speak with Animals spell. Master of Shapes Additionally, at 1st level, your service to your patron grants you a fox tail. You can hide and reveal your tail at will and you will gain more tails as you take levels in this class representing your bond with your patron and your rank among its followers. Choose a beast of Challenge Rating 1/8th or lower; you can transform into this beast once as per the rules of the Wild Shape feature for 1 minute. Each time you gain another tail from this feature you can choose another beast to add to your repertoire and you gain another use of this feature. At 8th level, you can pick any creature of Challenge Rating 1/4th or lower. You gain an additional tail at 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, 15th, and 17th level. Eldritch Invocations Fox Fire Prerequisite: Ancient Beast: Fox Patron, eldritch blast cantrip When you cast eldritch blast each blast floats around you as fiery whisps for 1 minute. You can as a reaction, fire 1 or more of these whisps at creatures when they attempt to move within 15ft. of you as if you where casting the spell. The damage type of these whisps is fire and the creatures movement speed is reduced to 0 until the start of their next turn. Fox's Wedding Prerequisite: 15th level, Ancient Beast: Fox Patron You can cast control weather once per long rest without expending a spell slot. Feral Form Prerequisite: 3rd level, Ancient Beast Patron You gain the ability to as an action, polymorph into the same creature as your patron. You can do this once per long rest. Beasts Fangs Prerequisite: Pact of the Blade, Ancient Beast Patron you gain a natural weapon from your patron, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing, peircing, or bludgeoning damage (your choice when you gain this invocation) equal to 1d8 + your Charisma modifier. Perfect Beast Channeling Prerequisite: 18th-level, Ancient Beast Patron When you use your Beast Channeling Feature you gain these additional effects; You gain +1 to your Charisma Score Bonus. The duration of your transformation increases to 10 minutes. The spell Regenerate is cast on yourself with you as the caster.
