She is able to conjure magical ice spikes at will which she may either wield as a spear or hurl like javelins. Cold iron weapons count as magical weapons for the purpose of determining Maab's damage resistance. Magic Resistance. Maab has advantage on all saves made against spells and magical effects. Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the Maab fails a saving throw, she may choose to succeed instead. Master of Winter. Cold and icy conditions may never adversely affect Maab in any way. Witch Sight. Maab's darkvision allows her to see, even in magical darkness. Spellcasting. The Queen of Air and Darkness is a 20th level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is charisma (spell save DC 23, +15 to hit with spell attacks). This ability automatically succeeds if the spell was a cantrip. Multiattack. The Queen of Air and Darkness may attack three times. Ice Lances +1. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., single target. Hit: 15 (2d8+6) piercing damage plus 5 (1d8) cold damage. On a hit, a creature has its speed is reduced by 10 feet until the start of Maab's next turn. Thrown Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range (50ft./150ft.), single target. Hit: 15 (2d8+6) piercing damage plus 5 (1d8) cold damage. On a hit, a creature has its speed is reduced by 5 feet until the start of Maab's next turn. On a critical hit with a melee or thrown attack from an ice lance, the target must make a strength save at DC 18 or be restrained. A creature restrained in this way may attempt to save again at the end of each of their turns to pull free of the ice spike holding them in place. It may also be destroyed. AC 15; HP 15; immune to cold, psychic, necrotic; vulnerable to fire Reactions Armor of Darkness. In reaction to an attack coming from a creature within 10 ft., the creature must make a constitution saving throw DC 20 or be blinded until the beginning of their next turn. If they are blinded, they gain disadvantage on the triggering attack as well. Legendary Actions Being one of the most powerful Archfey, The Queen of Air and Darkness has 3 legendary actions. She may use one at the end of another creature's turn. She regains her legendary actions at the beginning of her own turn. Lesser Spellcasting (Costs 1 Action). Maab casts a 3rd level spell or lower. Greater Spellcasting (Costs 2 Actions). Maab casts a 5th level spell or lower. Winter's Fury (Costs 1 Action). Maab immediately makes one attack with an ice lance. Freezing Step (Costs 3 Actions). Maab casts Misty Step without using a spell slot. Any creature within 5 ft of her starting or final location must make a constitution save DC 23 or suffer from the effects of Slow until the end of their next turn. She may also use her lair actions in the prime material plane as long as it is during the season of winter. Lair Actions On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Maab takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects: Clutching Ice - 1d4 creatures within 20 ft. of Maab must pass a strength save DC 20 or be restrained until the next lair action phase. Howling Gale - All hostile creatures within 20 ft. of Maab must pass a strength saving throw DC 18 or be knocked prone, taking 1d4 bludgeoning damage. Deep Freeze - All creatures within 20 ft. of Maab make a constitution save DC 20. Any that fail become vulnerable to cold. If they are resistant to cold, they instead lose resistance. If they are immune to cold, they instead become resistant.This effect ends at the start of the next lair action phase. Ice Crytal Vortex - Up to six creatures within 20 ft. of Maab take slashing damage equal to her intelligence modifier.
