The Grung of D'Ran G'ank'il The Founding of D'Ran G'ank'el Legend of how Village found go back a long time, like real long time, like 65 years. In long time ago great hero k'Bewm who was yellow grung, him get kicked out of tribe for not be gold and not be orange and also not be red blue green or purple. K'Bewm all alone in world, but not for long. K'Bwen made friend of Human Wizard named Argo. K'Bewm and Argo became best of friends. They traveled far and wide and formed a group, called The Clumsy Goats. There was Argo Silverspire the wizard, Zinsira Fogflow the talented elven bard, Normyr Woodwhisper a mighty firblog druid, Ravis Ironnose The dwarven Cleric along with Tilev the loxodon paladin who both served the same god, some god of sun maybe? Light? Goodness? They were good so probably goodness or something I forget. They also had Leaflight who was a fairy and mischievous thief. They travel long time together. Fight many monsters and become legends. One day they were on boat that landed in Shadawat, and heard story of Old VenomFang. Who was destroying Larkurup. When they come, they see that not only was the town in danger, but so was S'uk'E'T'en. They come, and they fight old Venomfang. And since they great heroes, they kill him. It him bones who sit in D'Ran G'ank'il. K'Bewm was getting older then, him had been like thirty-five. That was when K'bewm decided to take over local tribe. It went easy, most Grung mad at them Leader, his name N'ohp. He gave Old Venomfang grungs for sacrifice. After K'Bewm become leader. He move tribe into Old Venomfang lair. With help from his friends it become sactuary. Then K'Bewm have many babies, and then him die. The Village of D'Ran G'ank'il Explorers Note The Entrance to the village is behind a waterfall. The Tunnel leading from the waterfall cave to the village is filled with numerous traps, most of which are based on poison. Since moving in after the defeat of the green dragon they call Old Venomfang, the main entrance has grown more deadly each year. There may exist secret passages that avoid the traps, but that may only be known to the hunting caste. Grung villagers have the commoner statblock, with added racial bonuses. 3
Noteable NPCs The Great Shaman R'Bet Some say R'Bet is ancient, like 60. But no one say that to her face. She Is oldest of Grungs, and know many things, many magics. R'bet is one who sends the pale grungs out on their quests. She is Mistress of mushroom tea. She grows them special in the ribs of Old Venomfang. One time D'Ohp snuck into the ribs but The Great Shaman R'bet caught him and turned him into a pig for a bit. He should have known better, She sleeps in the dragons skull. What most importnat thing to know bout The Great Shaman R'bet, is she is most powerful grung. Even Great Stabber D'Rip not be able to beat her in Combat. Except maybe if he sneak in while she sleep. The Great Stabber D'Rip D'Rip is not mightiest leader of D'Ran G'ank'il, but him second only to K'Bewm. ~ D'Rip D'Rip is mighty warrior. Him never defeated in battle. He has killed many enemies. Him only golden Grung left in village now. Each year he mates, but no tadpoles grow gold. D'rip was once pale grung, his quest was kill giant and find sword of fire. He came back to D'Ran G'ank'il before he turned three. He went from pale orange to golden. The Great Hunter Z'Ewm Z'Ewm is silent type. Her and her hunters, they bring in food, then go into the shadows. She has killed more Eagles than even D'Rip. The Pallid Heroes W'he Nk'in Leaflight He is really nice, He liked to hang out with Z'Ewm and the hunters. He was really good at cutting up deer. After the scouts came back with it. Don't know what is quest is. Hope he does good. He Great With Bow too. (Ranger) Bl'Enkn Tilev Ugh She is so bossy, she is determined to be first back. I can't let her be next Leader. She is mean, she is Bully. She like to hit people. Especially me. Don't know what her quest is, hope its putting out the sun. (Monk) N'Ods Argo Pretty awesome. Very Chill, really likes laying in water. Wants to get far away from Bl'Enkn. Quest is to find Belt of Storm Giant Strength, and to kill a hydra. (Barbarian) Pale Grung Quests When pale grung are all grown R'Bet preforms the ritual of destiny. She makes tea out of the mushrooms and then casts stones. Quest always got two parts. One part is you must find powerful magic thing, and second you must slay great monster. Also very important to save many people. For that is what K'Bewm did. And pale grung must look to K'Bewm for the way. When pale grung leave D'arn G'ank'il they take second name. For many other peoples have them, not so important to grung. All second name must be one of K'Bewms old team. 7
The Clumsy Goats Information About them is 65 years old. This was when K'Bewmtook over the grung village and the dragons cave. Argo Silverspire Was a Human Male Wizard. K'bewm called the man his savoir and best friend. Argo found the exiled grung and helped him become a hero. Zinsira Fogflow The Female Elf Bard, She had been traveling with Argo before they met. K'Bewm. She found the grung cute. She quickly learned that despite his very young nature, he was not a pet and was a grown adult of his kind. This did not stop her from mothering him. Ravis Ironnose The Female Dwarven Cleric, had been traveling with her Lxodon Paladin friend Tilev when they joined the Three companions. The Group of five came together to fight an infestation of zombies in a mine. They had easily dealt with them. They started calling themselves 'The Clumsy Gods' But the locals misundersttod, and they became known as "The Clumsy Goats" 8
Tilev Tilev is a Male Loxodon Paladin, He is a tall and very quite man. Preferring to convert people through kindness and strength. He had a deep dislike for those who used their religious power for selfish gain. He was the father of the group, where Zinsira acted like a mother. Normyr Woodwhisper and Leaflight Normyr The Druidic Firbolg and Leaflight the Fairy Rogue, were and inseparable team that joined the Clumsy Goats, when a hag was targeting the woodland village the two lived near. The two along with Argo and K'Bewm were a very mischievous group. Tilev, Rivas and Zinsira had their hands full trying to keep the four out of trouble. K'Bewm The pale yellow grung, spent 34 years adventuring, fighting monsters and saving poor unfortunate souls. He was fond of drinking, and died 60ish years ago. Only five years after he killed Venomfang. 9
Enemies of D'Ran G'ank'il Demonwhip The Orcwort The Orcwort Orcworts are gigantic tree-like predators that hunt with the help of their mobile fruit bodies, known as wortlings. A single orcwort could, throughout the course of a week, devour a small village's worth of people and livestock. The grung of D'Ran G'ank'Il have been battling the massive beast they call Demonwhip for a decade. They routinely send out parites to kill the Wortlings. However every attempt to send warriors to destroy the demon has resulted in slaughter. So they content themselves fighting the purple goblinoid creatures. And searching for tools to defeat their greatest foe. Wortlings The fruit of the orcwort mature over the course of days. The Tree is capable of creating several new wortlings a day. This creature has offical 5e stats. In 3.5e the orcwort was a cr 20 with wortlings being a cr 3. 10
