Nezha Conquers the Dragon King
Once upon a time, there was a gen-eral named LiJing who was in charge of guarding Chentang Pass. His wife gave birth to a round ballof meat aftershe was pregnant for three years.
Li Jing was so surprised that he thought it was an ominous thing, so he raised his sword and split the meat ball
Inside there was a little boy with a gold bracelet and red silk.He was plump and very cute.
Taiyi said,"There are two magic weapons which the baby wears, one is called Hun tian Silk, the other is called Qiankun Ring. I want to take your son as an apprentic, and why don't you call him Nezha?"Hearing these words, LiJing nodded and was relieved.
When Nezha was seven years old, the Dragon King of the East Sea didn't rain at all. What's more,many boys and girls were taken by force from time to time.It led to the rivers dried up and the land cracked. The people had lttle food to eat and led a really hard life.
One day, it was extremely hot! Little Nezha ran to the East Sea to take a bath.
Nezha swung Huntian Silk for a few times in the water, but the water became so rough that the crystal palace where the Dragon King lived shook violently.
Suddenly, the sea came a burst ofchildren's cry. It turned out to be Yecha Monster of the East Sea who was robbing the boys and girls once again.
When Nezha saw this scene, he angrily got into a fight with Yecha Monster. Then Nezha threw the Qiankun Ring towards Yecha's head.
Although the Qiankun Ring looked quite small, in fact it was heavier than a big hill. Yecha Monster didn't duck fast enough to avoid it. As a result, Yecha Monster died.
When Ao Bing, the third Prince of the Dragon King came here, he found Yecha Monster was already dead. Ao Bing became so furious that he asked Nezha to give him an planation but in vain.They struggled with each other.
Nezha rode on the dragon's back and put the Huntian Silk on it, so Ao Bing couldn't move at all. Then Nezha threw the Qiankun Ring over Ao Bing's head and Ao Bing died too.
The Dragon King of the East Sea was enragedbecause of the death of his son. So the Dragon King gave the order to flood the area of Chentang Pass.He threatened to drown all the people if Li Jing didn't hand over Nezha.
Nezha did not intend to get his parents and the people into trouble, so he sadly drew his sword out and committed suicide with it in front of the Dragon King. Then the Dragon King let the flood recede, after watching the suicide of Nezha.
At this time, Taiyi came here and picked lotuses,lotus leaves and tender lotus roots from the lotus pond.
Taiyi used magic to turn then into Nezha's body and limbs. Finally, Nezha came back to life.
Taiyi also sent his apprentice another two magic weapons:the Fire Spear and the Wind Fire Wheels. After Nezha's rebirth, he stepped on the Wind Fire Wheels to the East Sea. This time Nezha attacked the dragon palace and captured the Dragon King alive.So he became a little hero in the mind of the people.
