RAVENSTHORPE GEOLOGY OVERVIEW

▪ Ravensthorpe contains several Ni Laterite deposits
developed across 17 km over Archean ultramafic rocks

of the Ravensthorpe Greenstone Belt, namely:

▪ Halleys

▪ Hale-Bopp

▪ Shoemaker-Levy

▪ Shoemaker-Levy North

▪ Nindibilup

▪ Bandalup Ultramafics were exposed to deep weathering

and oxidation to form concentrations of shallow Ni
laterite mineralisation

▪ Each deposit has similar regolith and geochemistry –

caprock, limonite, saprolite, saprock, bedrock

CONFIDENTIAL

GEOLOGY OVERVIEW – REGOLITH & NICKEL MINERALISATION

▪ Ni mineralisation occurs mainly in the minerals goethite, serpentine and
manganese oxides

▪ Limonite is comprised of mostly silica, goethite, manganese

oxides and some kaolinite

▪ Saprolite is comprised mostly of serpentine, silica, goethite,
carbonates and some manganese oxides.

WHAT MAKES RNO SPECIAL…

Unique beneficiation characteristics - high grade fine ore can
be physically separated from low grade coarse fraction.

Rejects ~66% of the mass but retains ~60% of the metal,
approximately doubles the plant feed grade.

• 10Mtpa @ ~ 0.6% Ni mined

• 3.2Mtpa @ ~1.2% Ni processed (after beneficiation)

Waste heat from Acid plant (as steam) capable of generating
all on site power requirements and other heating
requirements for processing.

FQM & POSCO exploring partnership to produce battery
cathode precursor materials, likely in the form of nickel
sulphate, by utilizing the MHP from Ravensthorpe.
