Conclusions

• Winu is a vein style Cu-Au deposit hosted in Neoproterozoic subarkosic sandstones and

siltstones of the Yeneena basin

• Initial intersection of mineralisation was the result of regional geological interpretation

followed by targeted geophysics and scout drilling of 2 RC holes

• Converting mineralisation into a maiden resource (“discovery”) required the enthusiasm and

efforts of a large team; the Winu discovery team

• Structure is dominated by SSE plunging anticline (Miles Orogeny) refolded into a (half) dome

during the Paterson orogeny

• Prominent gold lodes trend N-S and ENE-WSW at Winu, NW at Ngapakarra, copper lodes

trend N-S predominantly

• Gold precipitated most likely according to the “bismuth collector” model with solidification of a

bismuth-gold (tellurium) melt, copper precipitated later in cross-cutting sulphide lenses and

breccias

• Mineralisation most likely resulted from rapidly changing stress fields around an intruding

granitoid pluton during the Paterson orogeny
