In this chapter in the history of Permian High School, we, the
staff of the Panther, have tried to express the many faces of
Permian. We have shown you laughing faces, smiling faces . . . the
faces of loyalty. These are our faces, yours and mine, because we
are a part of Permian.
Permian is always changing faces as a kaleidoscope is always
changing color and shape. The container remains the same but the
design on the inside varies. The faces Permian has created will move
on to more advanced molds but the stamp of Permian will always
remain on each face.
We have helped to make this book one of memories and because
of it we have learned to love the faces of Permian. We hope that
this book of faces will be a well-remembered part of your
memories.
'em.
I have lain in the heart of a star, and danced on the lips of a
rainbow; I have been caught in the laugh of the moon, and
tossed my limbs in the yellow hair of the sun and the white
hair of the old, old moon. I have slept on the edge of a blue
and gold cloud; I have drunk the purple wine from the sky,
and heard the love of the thunder. I have seen the spirit of
God flying through the air in the lightning. I have seen the
morning hanging on the arms of the night; I have touched
the verge of all eternity and found it one unending pleasure.
And yet, I have found something newer and sweeter than all
