,^ n<^ the diiirni . . . with this third persentation of Permian
tilth s yearbook, the stall has used quotations, some familiar and
some less well-known, to introdnee the various seetions. The theme
thus employed is a simple one, but this year we have kept in mind that
one picture is worth ten thousand words,” and further, according to
I homas Huxley, I he great end ol life is not know ledge, but action.”
We hope* you like the PAN I HEU, J962 version.

Dedication
In a school as large as Permian, it is never
easy to choose one person to whom our
yearbook is to be dedicated. Not because of
any scarcity of candidates for this honor,
but because there are so many who deserve
such recognition.
But this year the Panther staff and sponsor
unanimously chose Mrs. Janet McDaniel,
attendance clerk in P.H.S., and loyal friend
to every student here. “Mrs. Mac” may well be
a nemesis to the “hookey player” and habitual
absentee, but given half a chance, she will
also go to any length and give generously of
her time, to help a student in any way possible.
She is a staunch supporter at any athletic
game when the Panthers are playing, and
when the big doors of our building open
for a night program of almost any kind,
Mrs. Mac is there.
So to you, Mrs. Jan McDaniel, salute!

You may think that is a cookbook the homemaking
teachers are reading, but really it is Forever Amber.
In the attendance office, a phone, a pencil, and
