Australia's most iconic beach suburbs. We
stock new, exclusive, classic and hard-to-find
vinyl records from a wide range of genres and

Bondi Records is a family business established in 2021 by serial vinyl addict Craig
Fordham.

Despite being unable to play an instrument (he’s tried and failed, many, many times), sing
in tune or dance in rhythm, Fordo has been addicted to vinyl ever since 1987, when he
made his parents buy him the 7” of Frank Sinatra’s New York New York from Our Price in
Canterbury, Kent, at the tender age of three. Yep, seriously.

Obsessed with Music

Since then, Fordo has been obsessed with music.

Growing up, Saturdays were spent trawling the aisles in his hometown HMV, spending his
‘hard-earned’ pocket money on the latest singles. Sunday evenings were dedicated to
recording and making mixtapes from the Top 40 charts.

But what really cemented his love of records was DJ’ing house, garage, drum & bass and
R&B on local radio stations and in seedy nightclubs in the south east of England in the
early noughties.

Moving to Australia in 2008 put a temporary pause
on his expensive vinyl habit, when he swapped his
Technics 1210s for a 256GB Apple iPod and hit the
road.

However, he has relapsed in recent years,
purchasing a 70s Pioneer turntable and amp and
80s Bose speakers to reignite the love affair with
the black stuff.

Now, greyer and slightly rotund, Fordo hopes to
spread the joys of analog world, one record player
at a time.
