th
Lady Golfers at the 20th annual Play for P.I.N.K. golf tournament.
A big thank you goes out to all who were involved in this year’s Play for P.I.N.K. Ladies Golf Out-
ing held on June 16 at Mallard Creek Golf Course. This was the 20th annual year for the event with
296 ladies and a beautiful day for golf. With all the generosity of the lady golfers, the volunteers, fam-
ily and friends, this event, along with the Play for P.I.N.K. winter fund-raiser, raised just over $40,000
for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Many new players and volunteers paid tribute to those lost to breast cancer and celebrated our
survivors, especially those 15 who were in attendance at the event. First and Second Place awards for
Pink one went to Breast Friends and Making Mammories. First and second place awards for Pink two
went to Booby Trapz and The Perky Putters. Prizes for the best Team Names went to Breast in Show,
Twin Peaks, No Boobie Left Behind and LBra Janes!
Play for P.I.N.K. donates 100% of the funds raised directly to The Breast Cancer Research Founda-
tion; all monies are earmarked for research. Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate Diagnosis, New
Technology, Knowledge) charity tournaments across the country are dedicated to raising funds to fight
Survivors with the PFP Donation check breast cancer while creating and promoting awareness of the disease through activities we all enjoy.
