On Saturday, November 14, the Varsity Black cheer-
leaders from the Keystone Youth Football program
competed in a 17 team cheer competition held at Key-
stone High School and won 1st place in the varsity
division! Competing squads from Keystone, Welling-
ton, North Ridgeville, Black River, Midview and Shef-
?eld each performed a “hello” cheer, a “general” cheer
and a half time dance set to music. The Varsity Black
cheerleaders, led by 3-time captain Brynn Duta, 2-time
captain Kylie Rigda and ?rst time captain Olivia Todd,
performed their hello cheer, their “Keystone stompin’
ground” cheer and danced to the Jock Jams Mega Mix.
With one judge represented from each squad, the Var-
sity Black cheerleaders received an almost perfect score
of 600! They worked tirelessly for ?ve weeks with
practices and run-throughs. The coaches would like to
congratulate the girls on a great season and an amaz-
ing competition win. They would also like to thank the
parents and family members who have helped from day
one and who came together to help the competition run
smoothly. Great job Varsity Black cheerleaders - 2-time
competition winners!
