The Black River Audubon Society program for March is

Teressa Nemeth, an OSU extension Master Gardener, will
present a program designed to help you create a landscape that
will increase the bird activity in your yard naturally. Teressa
will recommend plants that attract the most species of birds.
Ms. Nemeth, Black River Audubon Hog Island scholarship
recipient, and her husband Edward, maintain a backyard for
wildlife site-certified by the state of Ohio.

National Girl Scout Week
March 4-10, 2018
The Girl Scouts from Service Unit 533 made up of Midview and Columbia schools held their annual World Thinking Day event. Over 12
troops participated in this event and learned about such countries as Oman, Slovak Republic, Spain, Iceland, Mexico and many more. We had
about 125 scouts involved in the event. As a unit community service project each scout brought a non-perishable food item and those items
will be donated to the Midview backpack program.
