“…if we accept that a mother
can kill even her own child,
how can we tell other people
not to kill one another?”
Saint Teresa
of Calcutta
(Mother Teresa)
Life is a Gift
Our Nation was founded on the principle that each human life is a gift given by our Creator God. Each one of us is
valuable beyond measure and is endowed with rights, specifically because God has poured His creative genius into
making each one of us. We can rejoice that each of us is unique and unrepeatable. We are wonderfully made to know
and to love God and each other. And in God’s plan, a husband and wife are given the awesome privilege of co-creating,
with God, a brand new human life.
January 22, 1973 – A tragic anniversary for our nation
On that day, the U.S. Supreme Court took away the right to life of unborn children. Instead of protecting life, the Court
made it the role of government to protect killing (Roe v Wade, Doe v Bolton).
For nearly 50 years, our Nation’s laws ignored science and instead declared
American children before birth – living human beings – to be less than human.
Yet every one of us began our lives as a single cell, smaller than a grain of sugar, but with
all our traits already determined: boy or girl, eye color, hair color, and even our dimples! 8 weeks
By day 21, our hearts were circulating our own blood.
At 40 days, our brain waves could be detected.
By 8 weeks, every organ was present, and our liver and
kidneys were functioning.
At 4 months, we could suck our thumb, turn somersaults,
16 weeks and we could feel pain.
From that point forward, we have simply grown up!
20 weeks
June 24, 2022 – A new beginning
In it’s Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Association ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade and
returned the authority for regulating or prohibiting abortion back to “the people and their elected representatives.” Since
June of 2022, thousands of preborn children’s lives have been saved as some states have prohibited all or most abortions.
November 7, 2023 – Will this become a new tragic anniversary?
Pro-abortion groups are now proposing to amend the Ohio Constitution, by ballot initiative this November, to enshrine
abortion until birth, with no protections for preborn children, with parents having no say in their minor daughters’
abortions (or other “reproductive decisions”) into Ohio’s founding document. This amendment must be defeated!
Help Bring America Back to Life
Abortion pits a mother against the life of her child. Unfortunately, the abortion industry continues to kill thousands of American
babies by ripping them from the safety and warmth of their mothers’ wombs (see https://abortionprocedures.com).
We can love and care for both mother and child, even in difficult circumstances. If you’re pregnant and need
help – you are not alone! To find a nearby pregnancy help center, visit https://optionline.org or
https://birthright.org/ or call 1-800-712-4357. If you’ve been involved with abortion, hope and healing are
available. Visit https://hopeafterabortion.com or call 888-456-HOPE (4673).

[email protected] Letter to the Editor
Memorial Day Service Thank you To the Editor:
A moratorium was granted on April 4, 2023 by Eaton Trust-
ees, freezing any future heavy industrial (HI) zoning/rezoning.
It requested a Zoning Commission review, edit and/or replace
Article 9 in the Eaton Township Zoning Resolution. It currently
leaves our community and surrounding municipalities open to
potential illness, disease, death and potentially lower proper-
ty values. NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. With the moratorium
in place, Ross Environmental Services withdrew their original
rezoning request and submitted one for less acreage, adding
a “monofil.” According to the Trustees, per County Prosecu-
tor instruction, this new application is somehow exempt from
the moratorium, due to “litigation.” No evidence of threatened
lawsuit against Eaton township has been presented. It’s under
review by the Lorain County Planning Commission.
The current zoning resolution permits burial of hundreds of
tons of toxic waste, including hundreds of thousands of tons of
train derailment incinerated refuse from East Palestine, Ohio,
to be buried in our community. In just shy of 23 square miles,
we’re already home to a fly ash dump, multiple salvage yards,
huge old tanks (receiving fracking brine waste since the mid
‘80s) and Ross Incinerator. Enough! Contact by email at: stop-
[email protected].
Under a 4 month moratorium extension, Eaton Town-
ship Zoning Commission has scheduled a public hearing on
6/27/2023 to HEAR PUBLIC COMMENT.
