ZONING AMENDMENTS 2016-01 AND 2016-02
www.murrayridgecenter.org
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2016, 7:30 P.M.
The Columbia Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on two proposed
zoning amendments to the Columbia Township Zoning Resolution. The public hearing for
Zoning Amendment 2016-01 and Zoning Amendment 2016-02 will begin at 7:30 p.m. on
Monday, November 7, 2016, at the Columbia Town Hall, 25496 Royalton Road, Columbia
Station, Ohio 44028. Both zoning amendments were initiated by motion of the Columbia

Zoning Amendment 2016-01 would remove the words “bituminous or other” from AR-
TICLE 11.31 PAVING. Article 11.31 would then read “PAVING: All parking spaces, drives
and aisles, shall be surfaced with a dust free material.”
Zoning Amendment 2016-02 would add ARTICLE 17 PRIVATE DRIVE DEVELOP-
MENTS to the Columbia Township Zoning Resolution. This article would apply only to
parcels of land containing 50 acres or more.
The complete text of these zoning amendments will be available for review at the Town-
ship Of?ce from October 24, 2016 through November 7, 2016. The Township Of?ce is
located at 25496 Royalton Road, Columbia Station and is open Monday through Friday
from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.Zoning Amendments 2016-01 and 2016-02 have been submitted to
the Lorain County Community Development Department and the Lorain County Planning
Commission for their recommendations. The Columbia Township Zoning Commission held

new art room at CHS. There is a lot of creativity pouring out in the CHS art room this fall.
Over this past summer, the Columbia High School art room was relocated into the old industrial tech area of the high school. The ?rst day of class, the art room was a freshly painted “mint
green.” This was not going to last long with Mr. Justin Ramsey, the high school art teacher, and his art students. Senior Denise Biljes was given free reign to produce her interpretation of the
“Cleveland City Skyline.” Biljes, who is an Independent Studio student in her 4th year of art, has just put the ?nishing touches on her piece and the results are exceptional. Mr. Ramsey states
that “with the addition of the new art room, I wanted something done that would be really cool to look at and that would add a lot of color and creativity. There was no better choice than a
Cleveland rendition of Van Goghs’ Starry Night. Denise does an awesome job with Impressionistic work and I knew she’d do a phenomenal job with it. She’s a great talent!”
