The 70th Columbia Homecoming Festival, presented by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce,
will be opening Thursday, June 23rd. Admission and parking are FREE. Make sure that you bring
lawn chairs and blankets for all of the free concerts and movie in the park this weekend!
This year we will also have inflatables!
To kick off the weekend full of festivities, the parade will be on Thursday, June 23rd at 7pm.
Afterwards, we’ll have Opening Ceremony with parade winners and Citizen of the Year
announced!
Friday we’ll have a Movie in the Park for the kids and we will have
Buckshot Band on the main stage!
Saturday is “Kid’s Day!” There will be a variety of FREE games for the kids! We’ll also have a
balloon sculpterer, face painting, Jungle Bob and a Pet Parade. The Columbia VFW
Post 9340 will host a beer garden and the Fire Department will have a fire safety demonstration.
Saturday night will be packed full of entertainment and rides!

of Capel Road, between SR 57 and Durkee Road for the
Capel Road Resurfacing and Bridge #0060 replacement
project.
The cost of the project is $547,216, with the County
Engineer’s Association of Ohio providing up to 80% of the
funding for the costs of resurfacing ($316,155). The Ohio
Public Works Commission will fund 20% of all project costs

Jon Reichel, President of the Midview Scholarship Com-
mittee, presented several college scholarships in the amount of
$2,500 each to five Midview Seniors during their awards day
on May 26, 2022.
The students receiving a scholarship were: Madeline Scav-
nicky, Sara Thomas, Tyler DiFranco, Lydia Henely and Grace
Dolin. The scholarships are renewable for one year. Two schol-
