On Saturday, February 23, many music students from Columbia High School and Columbia Middle School participated in the Lorain County Solo & Ensemble Contest. The
participants were expected to prepare a piece of music to be performed as a solo or chamber ensemble to be evaluated by an adjudicator. Students were then given a rating of a
number between one and five; 1-superior, 2-excellent, 3-good, 4-fair and 5-poor. All twenty-two of the students who performed on Saturday earned superior and excellent ratings.
The students gave a recital featuring their pieces on March 9 at the North Eaton Christian church.
Excellent job, and good luck to all the musicians!
