“A Night To Shine” Proms enjoyed by local kids

Participants in the Tim Tebow “Night to Shine” at Our Lady Queen of Peace enjoy the red carpet treatment and a visit from Stomper during a prom night for those with special needs.
Our Lady Queen of Peace parish in Grafton was one of 500 churches across the United States who participated in the National “Night to Shine” on Friday evening, Feb-
ruary 8. Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, the event is a prom night for those with special needs. The evening was held to celebrate differences, to show everyone
is valued and to offer love to this community. The prom guests were pampered in a beauty salon set up in the church gathering area. They were treated to a limousine ride
and each made a grand red carpet entrance into the party. There were flowers, balloons, food, a visit from Stomper, karaoke, and dancing. Each guest was crowned prom
king or queen. Attending the local event were 38 guests, ages 14-73 years old, and 74 volunteers. Guests came from Grafton, North Ridgeville, Elyria, Amherst, Lorain,
Parma, Independence, Rocky River and Euclid. The total participation in the Tm Tebow “Night to Shine” was 100,000 guests, 200,000 volunteers and 655 host churches
in all 50 states and 24 countries. See more photos on page 10.
