Berea Animal Rescue Lady Nesters celebrate 40th Anniversary
12th annual K9 Splash
Berea Animal Rescue Friends will host the K9
Splash, its popular dog swimming party, on Saturday,
September 10, from 1-3 p.m. at Wallace Lake.
All dogs and their owners are invited to participate in
this family-friendly dog swim, which will also feature
raf?e baskets and ARF T-shirts, sweatshirts and mer-
chandise for sale.
In addition, you can enter your pooch in doggie
games, like musical hoops and hot dog eating contests,
as well as the much anticipated bathing suit competi-
tion.
Cost is just a $5 donation per dog, or $10 for “packs”
of two or more. The ?rst 25 humans to register will re-
ceive a free event T-shirt.
The event will be held at Wallace Lake in Mill Stream
Run Reservation (just north of the N. Quarry entrance
and just south of the South Quarry entrance to the Valley
Parkway).
Since 1987, Berea ARF has provided loving care to
thousands of homeless animals. They operate a no-time-
limit shelter dedicated to ?nding permanent homes and
