MY EXPERIENCES LEARNING
JAPANESE IN SMK LA SALLE

Hai konichiwa, abhilaash abraams nair from 1 luhur here! Today I would like to
talk about my experiences learning japanese in SMK la salle. So get ready in 3, 2, 1 GO!

When i first started learning japanese, it was a bit tough. That’s normal when you learn a
new subject. The classes were interesting. At first, we had around eleven students. We
learnt basic greetings such as hai konichiwa, arigatou gozaimasu, sumimasen,
doutashimashite, bikurshimashta, hiragana’s. I was selected as the form 1 japanese class
monitor. Then, the summative exam came. I guess I was lucky to pass the exam. *Phew!*

The number of students in japanese class reduced dramatically from eleven students to
seven students. Those four students quit japanese which made me feel...Bikurishimashta!
Japanese is actually a very cool and interesting subject.

Then the movement control order (mco) came all thanks to covid-19. Luckily,
sensei tan used google meet to teach us japanese. We also used apps such as the hiragana
memory hint and katakana memory hint. Very few students joined the meets because of
poor internet connection. Eventually, MCO came to an end and life went back to normal.

Upon coming back for japanese class, one of my classmates, sanjay kumar joined japanese
class. At first, he struggled a bit, but eventually he got the hang of it! We all had a lot of fun
learning japanese.

Now, conditional movement control order (cmco) in klang sub-district is back! I’m sure we
can all handle it way better than when it was imposed by the malaysian government in
march. Arigatou gozaimasu.
