Raven and Rawson Rate Controllers

New Holland Precision Land Management products may be used in conjunction with Raven and Raw-
son variable rate controllers. Specific cables are available through New Holland Parts to communi-
cate with Raven/Rawson controllers through the DB9 port and Tyco port of the IntelliView Plus II dis-
play. New Holland offers an operator’s manual for both third party controllers through the Document
Management Center. Please refer to “Raven Variable Rate Software for IntelliView Plus II Display”
operator’s manual for display set up and operation (87472173). Refer to “Rawson Accu-Rate Control
System Software for IntelliView Plus II Display” operator’s manual for display set up and operation
(87472174.

An important step prior to selecting the appropriate cable is to determine if the vehicle is IntelliSteer
ready. If it is not IntelliSteer ready or a non-New Holland vehicle a separate harness is required.
Additionally, a power source such as an auxilary fuse will suffice.

Compatible Models - Raven

The following Raven systems are supported using an RS-232 serial connection in conjunction with
the data menu settings listed in the chart below.

• SCS 100 series: 440/450/460/660 and other variants
• SCS 1000 series: 4000/4400/4600/5000 and other variants
