What Are Medicare Impersonators?

They are Scammers that target people with Medicare and deceive them in order to obtain
information on their Medicare while giving them a false belief that they can get stuff for
a low price if not then for free or that they are the Medicare. In some cases, if you give

them your information, they can take the equipment for themselves. If this happens,
most often times you won't be able to receive another one again.

What Do They Do?

They make you believe that they are being contacted by Medicare or that by calling them
ang giving your information to them, you can obtain a discount or get medical

equipment for free. They try to get information such as your security number or info
about your Medicare.

Why do they do it?

They do it so that they can buy these medical equipment for themselves, at a discount,
since Medicare covers for a fraction of the overall cost. This uses up your medical
benefits so they can get these equipment.

How do they do it?

They go on television on ads saying that they can help get you more benefits for a low
cost or for free. They can also call you saying the same thing, that you can get benefits
for little or no price at all. These can also come in emails. Sometimes they even say that
you need it, even though in reality you may not even need it. They ask for you Medicare

info and steal it from you.
