Stair Safety
Please be aware that Ramp staff are advised to leave a gap between the aircraft and
stairs to prevent damage from occurring. This is outlined in their manual OM15A
(see below) also included are photos of what is considered normal positioning of
the stairs. As you can see the gap appears bigger from certain angles . Also be
aware the step between the aircraft and stairs will fluctuate as the bags are
loaded/unloaded and people board/disembark. As always if you feel the gap is
unsafe stop boarding/disembarkation and advised CM/PIC who can liaise with ramp
safe to check on the positioning of the stairs.

Uniform Update
As you are no doubt aware in February the business
announced that a new uniform would be introduced. Over
the few months reviews have been under way into the
manufacturing and distribution process to see where
improvements can be made.
Now is your chance to be involved! Please take the time to
complete a short survey reviewing the design, quality and fit
of the current uniform. It should take about 5 minutes to
complete and closes on the 2nd of August. You can complete
the survey here - Start Survey
Expressions of interest are also open for Uniform
Ambassadors. 9 Ambassadors will be selected across JANZ
cabin crew network to assist with uniform design workshops,
participate in wearer trials, help formulated the future
grooming guide, support peers in your base and assist with
ordering the new uniform. Applications are now open via
workday and close 5pm 31st of July.
