U I T M C A W A N G A N K E L A N T A N 2 Preface Glocal Symposium on Information and Social Sciences 2023 (GSISS 2023) is an academic symposium that brings together academics, researchers, and students to share experiences and knowledge in the field of social sciences. With the theme "Information and Social Sciences: Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Era", this symposium shall discuss issues in social science disciplines that arise globally and locally. The GSISS 2023 shall focus on the latest trends and best practices applicable in social sciences and information disciplines as well as the challenges and opportunities encountered by communities, institutions, and nations in this digital era. In addition to that, ethical values, and policies to strengthen information and social administration shall be the topic of discussion. The participants of the GSISS 2023 shall be students and academic staff from local and international universities namely Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, Camarines Sur Polytechnic Philipines, and Universitas Ngudi Waluyo, Indonesia.

Glocal Symposium with the theme: “Information and Social Sciences-Challenges and Opportunities in the Digital Era” (GSISS 2023). This symposium shall be the best platform for academia and students to discuss many issues related to the areas of concern that happened in this Digital Era. With this platform, it is hoped that the GSISS 2023 will provide an insight into matters of concern as well as to provide some suggestions to it. It is a great pleasure to welcome three learned keynote speakers from international universities namely Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Philippines and Universitas Ngudi Waluyo, Indonesia to this symposium. The invitation of the respected speakers from the international universities is seen to be beneficial to all participants as new knowledge and ideas in the area of concern shall certainly be obtained therefrom. In this respect, it is hoped that further collaborations on other area of academics between Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Kelantan and Universiti Airlangga Indonesia, Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Philippines as well as Universitas Ngudi Waluyo, Indonesia could be strengthened so as to develop new ideas and knowledge which would benefit higher education in the region. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all of you to use this platform in order to form new collaborations and research networks so as to advance the global research agenda. Imam Yuadi received a Ph.D. degree from U I T M C A W A N G A N K E L A N T A N 4 Speakers Profiles ASSOC. PROF. DR. IMAM YUADI National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information and Library Science at Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia. His various research focuses on the areas of digital forensics, data science, image processing, and computer vision. Several published works on digital forensics were obtained from data on printed documents, museums, and library collections. In addition, his publications were also made for the bibliometrics and informetric areas to support the literature review on his main research. ASSOC. PROF. DR. MOHD NASIR ISMAIL Dr. Mohd Nasir Ismail is an Associate Professor at the Information Science Studies, College of Computing, Informatics and Media, Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Kelantan. He obtained a doctorate in the field of EducationalMultimedia from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang Malaysia. He successfully published more than 30 journals and 40 national and international level proceedings in the field of Information Systems Management, Computer Programming Skills, Knowledge Management, Digital Information Literacy and Multimedia Instructional Design. He is an active reviewer and has reviewed 44 papers till present.

Murillo is an Associate Professor at College of Arts and Sciences, and a Director/International Relations Officer at Center for International Relations and Linkage Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges, Philippines. He received Ph.D. in English Studies (Language) from University of the Philippines. His research and teaching interests include English Usage and Grammar, Stylistics, Speech and Oral Communication, Semiotics/Linguistic Landscape, Asian Literature, Gender Studies, Philippine Literature, Rhetoric and Development Communication. Dr. Meida Rachmawati received a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Asia e University, Malaysia in 2020. She is a lecturer in Universitas Ngudi Waluyo, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia and also a director of CV. Nusantara Training and Research. She actively involves in publication and has authored and co-authored more than 40 publications in books, journals and proceedings.

Ghazali Osman is a Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Cawangan Kelantan, Malaysia. He received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu in 2012. He has 21 years of experience as an academician and actively involves in publication. He has authored and coauthored more than 50 publications in journals and proceedings. His research interests include Pattern Recognition; Image Processing; Artificial Intelligence; Content-Based Information Retrieval, Information System Management. Ts. Dr. Khalid Abdul Wahid, is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA, Kelantan, Malaysia. He is currently an Assistant Rector of UiTM Bharu, Kelantan. He received a Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from Kasetsart University, Thailand in 2015. His research interests include knowledge creation, social innovation, and e-learning. Malaysia consists of 13 states and Kelantan is one of them. It is situated in the northeast of Peninsular Malaysia and its capital city is Kota Bharu. Kelantan is bordered by Narathiwat Province of Thailand on the north, Terengganu State to the southeast, Perak to the west and Pahang to the south. Kota Bharu, the capital city of Kelantan is on the north-east of Kelantan and about few kilometers in land from the South China Sea. Kelantan is rich in culture and heritage and has become one of the unique travel destinations in Malaysia. It is synonymous with Malay arts and handicraft products such as batik, songket, wood craving, topspinning or gasing and kites-making which is well known as “Wau Bulan”. Amongst popular cultural practices in Kelantan are “Dikir Barat, Makyong, Menora, Wayang Kulit” etc. In terms of foods and cuisines, Kelantan is very much influenced by Malay and Thai cuisines. Among the popular dishes in Kelantan are Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Tumpang, Kuih Akok, Nasi Dagang, Somtam and many more. Kota Bharu is the most popular tourist destination in Kelantan. It has many tourist attractions such as museums, historical sites, and commercial areas to visit. Siti Khadijah Market which is in Kota Bharu is a well-known tourist destination for shopping local commodities such as food, clothing, batik and songket cloth, Islamic wear, and other items. Apart from Kota Bharu, there are three more famous shopping heavens for tourists namely Bukit Bunga, Pengkalan Kubor, and Rantau Panjang.
