Sample Below:

Hello,

This is just a friendly reminder to check and make sure your work area is safe. For your safety,
take a moment to look around your work space and check the following:

- Flashlights: Make sure you have access to a working flashlight with fresh
batteries. Take a moment to make sure your flashlight works. If you need a flashlight or
new batteries please email OCPL Community Relations and we will get this for you.

- Space under desk: Take a moment and look under your desk. Make sure there is
enough space for you to fit in the case of an earthquake.

- Space heaters: If you have a space heater in your work area, make sure it has a tip
shut off function. A tip shut off function will ensure that if it gets knocked over it will not
start a fire.

- Personal decorations: Take a look around your work area at your personal
decorations. Make sure there is nothing sharp or made of glass that could fall on you
during an earthquake. Make sure things above your head are secured. If something
could fall, please either move it or take it home.

- Book cases and shelving units: Please make sure bookcases above 48inches are
secured to the wall. If you have something in your work area that you feel might need to
be secured, please contact OCPL Community Relations and we will assess this for you.

Thanks for your assistance!
