Nathaniel Ayeni Portfolio

Design 3 Portfolio

|Page 51| Design III| Nathaniel Ayeni This week for primarily focused on preparations for the midterm. This entailed making a larger scaled model(2”=1’) and finalizing what sort of staing and colors we wanted to incorportate into the design- to further elucidate the idea of movement within the playhouse.

|Page 56| Design III| Nathaniel Ayeni WEEK 8 Week 8 saw the refinement of the model design after the midterm review. Since the group as a collective decided that the design had reach a considerable design state, our focus was shifted into the construction document phases of this project. Week 8 was mostly characterized with getting comfortable utilizing softwares in construction document creations. In this week, the task was to come up a draft of a construction doc, in which I was tasked with documenting the contour pieces and an axonometric drawing of the “ladder piece.” This week, however, was focused on the axonometric drawing. |Page 58| Design III| Nathaniel Ayeni WEEK 9 Continuing with the construction document phase of this project, week 9 was also dedicated to the draft of construction documents. This week also saw us a group begin to work on the budgeting list for the construction phases- as materials needed to be ordered in time, in order meeting the deadline of the project. This was also in line of the following week’s “Redlining”- in which there will a thorough analysis of the construction docs. 3'-7 1 4 " 2'-6" 1'-4 1 4 " 3'-7 1 4 " 4'-7" 6'-2 3 4 " 7'-0" 6'-9 3 4 " 3'-2" 4'-7 1 2" 6'-4 3 4 " 5'-7 1 4 " A1 1 1 A1 SCALE: 1" = 5" MODULE 3 CONTOUR DETAIL DRAWING(INNER TOP HA6'-4 1 2" 11 3 4 " 7'-0" 3" 2 1 2" 3" 1 1 4 " 3 3 4 " 4 1 2" 5'-7 1 4 " 1 3 4 " 1 A1 1 A1 SCALE: 1" = 5" MODULE 3 CONTOUR DETAIL DRAWING (OUTER TOP HA04

|Page 60| Design III| Nathaniel Ayeni WEEK 10 Week 10 saw the redllining of the construction, in which with the help of our professors we meticoulously analyzed the documents in order to make sure that they were on par with the standard architectural documentation profiling. 04

|Page 62| Design III| Nathaniel Ayeni WEEK 11 | 12 | 13 These weeks mostly compiled of construction- every hands were needed on board to finish the project ahead of schedule. It entailed a process of, firstly, tracing out the template. Then cutting out of planks and templates to then sanding. Then there was the staining and painting phases, and finally the assemblying of the modules. 05

|Page 67| Design III| Nathaniel Ayeni After a grueling 14 weeks of moving from the schematic design, to design development and then to construction document, the construction phase was finally completed. With the teamwork and dedication of every individual in this group, we were able to come up with the remarkable feat of seeing our vision go from paper to reality.
