WELCOME TO

OUR TEAM

First, welcome aboard! We
we are excited that you have

joined the Dwight Andrus

team. Starting a new job can

be a bit overwhelming, so

we'd like to take you through
some of our history,

introduce you to other team

members and explain what

we offer.

It's a lot of information, but

not to worry. There won't be

a test and you will have this

information available on the

company intranet for

reference. Now, here is how
it all began ...

Our first office was located at
415 West Vermilion Street.

IN 1945, DWIGHT
ANDRUS INSURANCE WAS
FOUNDED BY DWIGHT W.
ANDRUS, SR.

Dwight Andrus Insurance and Dwight
Andrus Real Estate were both founded in
1945 by Dwight W. Andrus, whose
commitment to uncompromised service

at a fair price established a lasting
foundation upon which Andrus' twin
businesses has stood the test of time.
Dwight Andrus, a native of nearby
Branch, Louisiana moved to Lafayette in
1933 with his wife, Yolands and his two
sons, Dwight W. Andrus, Jr. and Ronald
Dwight W. Andrus , Sr.
G. Andrus.

DWIGHT W. ANDRUS, JR.

Despite the notable success, the insurance agency did not overshadow the

family's other business venture. While also involved in the insurance

agency, Dwight Sr. channeled much of his time and attention to real estate
development. Recognizing that the migration of small farmers in the post

war era, followed by an influx of out of state oil workers were harbingers

of an unprecedented growth spurt for Lafayette. Dwight Sr. and later his

son Dwight W. Andrus, Jr. are directly responsible for the development of
most of the large residential area bounded by Johnston Street, the

Vermilion River, UL Lafayette and the Acadiana Mall.
