A five day intensive workshop on
pedagogical leadership will be reminisced
vividly for a lifetime...From unlearning and
understanding how poorly I fare on the
planning index to learning, watching and
comprehending terms and concepts
,designing a miniscule pedagogical plan in
collaboration with fellow team mates from
the same COE to using interesting tech tools
to express ourselves and to read others'
articulations was a truly enriching session.
Some of the tough task masters in the field I
am passionate about ,learning from their
experiences and reflections, understanding
that I have miles to go before I sleep will be
the forever treasured memories for me!!!!

A journey towards –NEW ME
It was revisit to my learning . Learning of the actionable and specific steps to
kick start the journey for the change and pitfalls to be grounded against the
gap that I had.
It was learning of--
-why a school needs to have a well defined vision giving due consideration
on the aspiration of the community with an enabling environment for the
learners, encouraging free debates and in exchange of innovative ideas from
them.
-why an inclusive education system must provide a flexible curriculum in
respond to differences among such learners.
-how to plan a bigger picture through teaching learning pedagogy based on
the identified needs and gaps of school in the real sense .
New ME now knows that learning is a journey and not a destination and a
center of vibrant learning culture lies in shared understanding .
Our mental compass is our internal strength that helps to make a road easy
to walk on into the future. Looking myself with my smart goals 10 years from
now was a wow moment .
NEW ME KNOWS Now- where are we now? What do we need to do ?How to
achieve what we want to do? Who is accountable? When will we achieve and
what will be the Impact look like….
My gratitude to all our Mentors who guided us throughout in our 6 day’s
journey of transformation.

The five days PRP Pedagogical Leadership: interactive
session brought to light the following facts:
•Leadership is a powerful weapon that can transform the
learning environment in schools through a powerful vision,
commitment, integrity, respect and embracing diversity.
•The unified efforts of CBSE and NEIPA to bring about a
change through top-down approach, proved to be very
successful.
•The streamlined effort to translate vision into reality
through motivation, was well pronounced.
•The five-day experience was a live example of how a well-
organized plan and good execution, can bear unbelievable
re sul t s.
•The dynamism of thought leader Dr Mythili and facilitators
Ambika, Swarnima, Harpreet,Seema Jairath and Sanchita
was infectious and made us all galvanize towards reading and
reflective practices. I am extremely thankful to them and
support given by Rama Ma’am from COE HQ.
•The appropriate usage of technology, like Padlets,
Mentimeter was exciting and energy driven.
•The last day’s presentation was exciting too and lead to
fulfillment of our learning experience.
•The coming together of COE’s was the first of its kind, and

Empowered to think Beyond….
The five day workshop on the very new concept of ‘Practicing
Pedagogical Leadership for enhancing Students’ Learning’ conducted
by CBSE in collaboration with NUEPA was a rare opportunity for me
to understand my present-self as a leader and new possibilities
which I can create for the growth of my organization and students’
learning aligning to the NEP-2020.
Attending the workshop along with 170 leaders of CBSE affiliated
schools under the guidance of Dr Mythili, NUEPA was truly an
enriching experience and enjoyable moment. The vision we shared
together of creating a new movement in the country through the
transformation in the field of education required for shaping the
future of the children and making them future-ready would definitely
enable our country to be a global leader and contribute for the cause
of humanity at large in the 21st century. I promise to be the agent of
change and help others as per the best of my ability to practice the
same.

The Pedagogical Leadership Training was an
extraordinary opportunity for me to meet the stalwarts in
education. The sessions had allowed me to see what is behind
the curtain. As leaders we have been experimenting but the
ideas that I collated through these 5 days had brought a
major shift in the way I see things now. I can feel the
energy flowing in me to act, bring the change and see the
education system evolve. My vision as a school leader has
expanded. The sessions has allowed me to reflect and
introspect on my practices. I pay my sincere gratitude to the
team of experts under the leadership of Maitili mam. The
following quote is for all the trainers who helped me bring a
positive shift in me as a school leader:

Mythili was transformational in itself when I reflect the Bangalore
takeaways of the session. Every session unfolded in a way
that a lot of myths were busted. The experience of
comfort from the discomfort be it the chat discussions,
the padlet activities, the panel discussions or the post
lunch chit chat was always reflective. The discussions
were so engaging, the learning constantly poked us to
look within.
A few thoughts to ponder:
• Leadership is a journey, Pedagogical leadership
requires special readiness and ability. It requires
genuine leading role in our own school´s pedagogical
practices, responsibilities and priorities, instead of just
implementing a few handpicked processes. At times, the
role demands leading from front and sometimes just
guiding.
• The case studies presented and the best practices
shared gave such clarity. ALL means ALL!!!
• Leadership need not assess the outcomes of the
achievement alone, well-being also needs to be given
equal importance. A few questions ringing in my mind
still after the session are...
•What kinds of things do you currently do in your school
that demonstrate your leadership of learning?
•Does your school actively support teachers being leaders
of learning? In what ways?
•How do you create a culture of sustained improvement
and learning?
Namaskar.
You have a jigsaw puzzle that keeps you busy for hours. You
focus on completing the picture, sometimes it takes
meaningful shape while at other times you just go on trying
with your team to make it a whole but you are not sure of
where it would take you. As a team leader, you are always in
search of some tools, strategies to work smarter and lead
better and are carefully placing the missing pieces in the
correct places.
My this search ended in this training. I not only got the
‘TOOL KIT’ but also understood how to use it. Now it is clear
to me that why as a school some of the targets were
achievable and why some of the experiments did not create
the desired impact.
This training has deeply changed my way of thinking as a
team leader. I have started sharing my experiences with my
teammates. With the core team I have started following
tutorials. I believe that a detailed planning process following
5 steps (APP) will definitely bring the required change in the
school environment and by keeping in mind individual needs
provide a learning space to the students in a much better
way. I express my gratitude to all the resource persons for
their inputs and to the COE for such a fantastic opportunity.

REACHING THE NEW HORIZON
An exclusive and extraordinary journey that had started on
the 1st July and terminated on the 6th was like getting
engulfed in an avalanche which swept away all 170 bright
minded denizens from their own worlds into such a world of
pedagogy where the experience felt and received proved to
be unsurpassable. It was like blowing of the west wind in the
azure sky whispering into the ears of the dreaming seeds to
wake up and listen to the song of revival.
The shower of knowledge drenched , rather submerged
everyone to rethink and redesign their models as well as the
course of their journey to fulfill their vision and mission.
The minds which travelled for five days for long hours are
now ready to carry forward their own new worlds which
have been renewed by designing anew.
This enlightenment is like the enlightenment of the Buddha,
which had changed the course of history. It will not only
make the worlds of the comrades bright but together with
them make a new world of ignited minds to tackle the
challenges of 21st century.

An Amazing Training that completely changed my mind about
leadership.
I learnt that as a leader I have to look INWARD and MASTER my
own role first by making efforts for shifting towards learning by
EVERYONE in the system in terms of Learning to know,Learning to
do ,Learning to live together and learning to be.
I Learnt about structuring of virtual training , new tools online
,got opportunity to network with other leaders and many more
subconscious learning which enhanced my skills. This training was
an eye opener for me to learn where I am as a school leader?
Brainstorming in group, practicing to develop APP was the best
part of whole session. I will Review ,analyze and recreate the
current practices and think through how could it be changed so
as to shift the responsibility of learning to ALL in the system
Overall training was interesting, inspiring,knowledgeable,practice
based, well structured, well coordinated. Each resource person
was excellent. Dr mythili ma’am one of the most important RP
involved in this movement of CHANGE inspired me to think more
and more deeply for LEADING LEARNING

Unusual is the way we become part of this
momentous world. Never thought that July 1 to 6
would make such an impact in my professional life. It
was a business as usual mindset just before an
unusual progression to an enlightenment. Powerful
persuasions steered to preeminent metacognition.
It would’ve been a typical exit at 60, had I missed the
opportunity. But now I have many promises to
satisfy before the exodus. What’s between the
inexorable and todays me will be significant, prolific
and resounding.
Words are short to express the gratitude to

MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF LEARNING ………..
The Pedagogical Leadership Training programme, organized under the able
captaincy of Dr Mythili has created ripples in my think tank. The effect of the
ripples is so strong that it has enabled me to reflect the ripples among my
peers and pass on the positive energy and the ocean of knowledge I amassed
during the training to the faculty of my school.
It was an amazing journey of learning and sharing. Learning about the
Pedagogical leadership from the most eminent resource persons across the
globe and mutual sharing of the ideas with 170 energetic principals has
created a deep impact on me by widening my horizon of knowledge.
The pre-session assignments kindled our critical and analytical skills
compelling the school leaders to embrace research attitude. The break room
discussions opened new avenues of connecting with peers and understanding
the best practices of other schools. The post-session assignments made me
nostalgic by taking me back to the student days. The excitement, energy and
enthusiasm experienced exhibited by the participants and the resource person
was contagious. The virtual platform became an advantage rather than a
hindrance as the experienced resource persons unraveled their presentations
loaded with powerful messages and interactive tools which arrested my
attention throughout. I have gathered a rich treasure of a plethora of
pedagogies, unique ideas and thought-provoking takeaways during the
training sessions
The multiple takeaways of multi-dimensions have indeed transformed me as
an educator. The training programme has enabled me to introspect myself,
retrace my thinking processes and revisit the strategies adopted as a school
leader. While I am convinced with some of the strategies, I have realized that I
need to r many arenas and redesign the strategies to be an effective leader
and lead my institution in the progressive path.
The experience of everyday of this momentous journey has been permanently
imprinted in my mind as the most MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF LEARNING.

The six day journey of Prospective Research Person training in
PEDAGOGICAL LEADERSHIP was more than a learning journey and
empowerment to me. It has widened my horizon as an eduleader. A
powerful realization of what I am at present and where do I wish to stand
in the days to come, personally and professionally.
Aligning personal vision with institutional vision and how to handle the
inner play between personal and shared vision was the most beneficial tool
that I have acquired from this training.
Setting SMART goals and to undergo a rubric check gave a different
perspective of optimum growth as an individual and as a whole. Learnt the
ABC of making learning organic and joyful.
The three important aspects of PLFfLL with layers and its detailing gave me
a new out look to What , Why and How for leading learning . The
minuteness of good practices ,best practices and innovation cleared
various assumptions. Developing the right understanding of creating a
culture of learning and innovation by empowering teachers and students
in collaboration with other stakeholders tunes the stage for beginning the
journey as a Pedagogical Leader.
As a closing remark to this short memoir, I would simply say I have
experienced the famous quote of A.P.J Abdul Kalam during this training,
“Once your mind stretches to a new level, it never goes back to its original
dimension”.
