ErP2018 / Lot 20 - The Basics

The ErP2018 regulations were brought into force in January 2018.
The aim of the regulations is to help us all to reduce our carbon footprint by 20%
before the year 2020.
To help achieve part of this goal, it was decided that all forms of fixed heating
appliances would, by law, be easier to control and help the user set specific times
and temperatures for when the heater is turned on.
To do this each heater requires the following:
• Electronic thermostat control
• 24/7 time control
• Optional adaptive start feature
• Optional open window/door detection
• Optional distance control—WiFi
The ErP2018 regulations, although written ambiguously, are a real step in the right
direction for us all. Every heating appliance should give the end user the chance to
reduce running costs, through greater control, ultimately reducing their effect on the
environment.
We are consciously aware of our environment and the damage that is being done
within it. Part of our company philosophy is to reduce and eliminate where possible,
any plastics used for manufacturing and packaging inside our products.
This is a very difficult task, but as a responsible business, we will simply do our best.

The ADAX Eco heaters, by themselves are not compliant with ERP2018, but when
you match them with the new Sol*Aire WiFi enabled switches you will have
everything you will need. The Eco heaters are adjusted by an electronic thermostat
for accurate room temperature control. IPX4 rated allows the Eco heater to be sited
in any room, including the bathroom.
The Sol*Aire WiFi enabled switches are controlled via a user friendly App through a
bespoke router, allowing full distance time and temperature management.
We have chosen to offer this as a different and cost effective way of meeting the
new regulations for 2018 including Lot 20. Eco heaters are easy to install and come
with an Adax 5 years manufacturers guarantee and are available in white finishes.
The Sol*Aire WiFi enabled sockets are an easy addition to your system for any (see
opposite page) qualified Tradesman. These WiFi switches can also be used to
control other appliances such as water heaters, lights etc.

for ErP2018 and Lot20. with electronic thermostat, program control and open
window detection built in.
Classic radiator styling at 600mm high, allows these heaters to sit in any

Our evaporative air conditioning units bring cool air to your home without the
huge expense of fully installed systems.
Extremely quiet when running, (between 40-60 dB), all models have 3 fan speeds
and are suitable for all rooms, both inside and outside. They are supplied with an
intelligent remote control and allow for full time programming making them very
user friendly and easy to use.
Simply fill the water tank at the rear of the unit and away you go. It is as easy as
that. For colder air you can add ice to the ice chamber at the rear built in to each
model.

All rails are supplied with 4 x fixing brackets with metal threads to ensure a secure
and permanent wall fixing. The metallic fine textured ‘elements’ - lava grey, ice
white and beach - finished rails are supplied with fixed, colour-matched metal
brackets on the rear of the uprights, to ensure colour continuity between bracket
and the towel rail.

All of our towel rails are available from stock as central heating only, dual fuel with
various element options and as a stand alone sealed electric appliance, either on/
off or fully Lot20 compliant fitted with our superb Celsius R3 IPX4 heating element,
complete with temperature and 24/7 time controls.

We also supply a range of heavy pattern chrome plated brass valves, electric
heating elements, both simple and fully Lot 20 compliant and dual fuel kits with all
the additional components to benefit from both gas and electric heating.

RADIATORS

Our Victorian inspired column radiators all fit perfectly in both contemporary and
traditional bathrooms alike and arrive complete with concealed fixings for the
cleanest finish possible.

Traditional radiators are supplied as central heating only and are available
converted to simple on/off electric and dual fuel with a standard electric heating
element.

Our vertical radiator selection is available as central heating only. We have selected
lightweight, high output and slimline radiators, perfect for areas that standard
radiators cannot fit. The colour-matched bracket systems provide an easy, sturdy
wall mounting system.
