BEST WISHES
Dr. Vijay D. Patil I am happy to see RAIT students
President, participating in activities outside of their
regular curriculum. This magazine is a
Dr. D Y Patil University project of the CSI-RAIT technical
committee to keep students informed
about the latest technological
developments around the world. This new
version of COZINE includes a lot of new
ideas for reaching out to students and is a
great read. Team COZINE has done an
excellent job, and I congratulate them on
their dedication. In all of their future
endeavours, I wish CSI-RAIT the best of

Dr. Mukesh D. Patil
Principal,
Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology
This year brought in many new challenges Dr. Leena R. Ragha
and was highly unpredictable. Even The Head Of Department,
though the students missed out on most
of their nurturing time, they did the most Computer Engineering,
with what they had, ensuring involvement Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology
from everyone. This is indeed
commendable. The spirit to learn and CSI-RAIT 04
adapt is highly demonstrated by CSI-RAIT
through their participation in almost every
activity including technical hands-on
workshops, expert sessions and article
writing. The Decrypt, Technophilia and
Cozine platforms are used effectively to
express their thoughts. The zeal and
confidence in students is upheld through
their dedication to achieving the best in
an adverse environment. The Cozine
Magazine is a result of this and the
fabulous presenting skills exhibited in the
articles will definitely appeal to everyone
alike.
President’s Note
Ever so often, simply by being a part of a community, we are presented with opportunities to
learn and grow beyond limitations. We at CSI-RAIT aim to bring together a new generation
of programmers and coders to explore the power of technology in a way that’s vast,
inclusive, and accessible. Together we can bring about the change we seek in hopes of
building a stronger, modern, and more innovative society.
After the successful launch of our newsletter Technophilia, which honoured the spirit of
entrepreneurship and start-up culture plaguing our era, CSI-RAIT is back with yet another
tech journal that explores the ideas governing modern society. Our annual magazine
Cozine’s 13th version aims to understand the notion of Posthumanism and the extent to
which technology is aiding enhancements in our human lives.
Time and again CSI-RAIT has made it’s best efforts to inculcate within the students a
curiosity to know and gain more, a yearning to excel beyond the set expectations, to work
hard to see ideas being turned into actions, fantasies into plans and verities into actuality. I
am filled with nothing but immense pride and delight at the diligent, dedicated and
meticulous efforts put in by the Cozine Team this year, even in the face of unexpected events
to show how Cozine is not just a magazine, but a reflection of art and reality showcasing the
beauty and diversity of intellect, imagination, and dexterity.
CSI-RAIT exists only because of the pillars that support it. So I extend my sincerest gratitude
to Hon. Shri Vijay D. Patil Sir, President, Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil University; Dr. Ajeenkya D.
Patil Sir, Pro-Chancellor, Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil University; Dr. Mukesh Patil Sir, the
Principal of RAIT, our constant source of inspiration, as well as Mr. Tanmay J. Sinnarkar Sir,
Registrar of RAIT, a consistent supporting figure to the committee.
The backbone of CSI-RAIT stands strong because of Dr. Leena Ragha Ma’am, HOD of
Computer Engg. Dept., and Mr. Tushar Ghorpade Sir, Faculty Coordinator of CSI-RAIT and
their continual efforts in guiding us to strive for the better always. I extend my deep thanks
to Anupama Shenoy Ma’am for her insightful inputs. I also sincerely thank the teaching and
non-teaching staff of RAIT and the students for always supporting CSI in its endeavours.
As the academic term for this year concludes with the launch of Cozine v13, I express my
heartfelt indebtedness to my team - Core, Joint Core, Junior Committee and the entire CSI
family for making CSI-RAIT what it is today. It has been my honour to represent this
committee throughout this year of success and accomplishments.
Signing off with best wishes,
Ananya Mishra,
President, CSI-RAIT.
Guide’s Note
Cozine has performed admirably, as has been the case in the past. The articles provide
technological updates in a fair manner that is also appealing to laypeople. The design is
appealing. Students have created an interesting and educational magazine. It's been a
delight to advise and guide pupils when they've tried their hand at writing and expressing
themselves. WELL DONE, and keep up the good work.

05 COZINE 2022
Editor’s Note
This year came with a new beginning; or rather a new take to a
familiar custom. While the implications of COVID-19 still remain,
most of us are trying to settle back into the conventional routines of
our pre pandemic lives. We are living in the Transhuman era right
now, an era where humans are embracing technology as a way of
life both physically, through their bodies, and mentally, through
their philosophies.
When we begin to talk about understanding the notion of
Posthumanism, we look into the ways human life has adapted to
the world and its happenings. Posthumanism is not just a singular
concept; it is an amalgamation of a variety of disciplines, schools of
thoughts and movements that seek to define the deconstruction of human life. It is a
philosophy that embodies technology as a way of revealing and redefining human life when
observed through different axes of reflection and analysis.
Through the articles contained within the pages of this magazine, we seek to discern the
need to decentralise the idea of the “human” from the focus of its discourse and how human
enhancement through science and technology is the new voice of reason and progress in
today’s society. Posthumanism defines the interconnection and coexistence of different,
incongruous elements such as the natural and the manmade, the future and the past to be
a fundamental existential approach, way of being and looking at the world. It is a theory
that’s meant to provoke the idea of whether we can already be called posthumans in the way
we address our existence through our cyberselves, online personas and avatars.
With the 13th edition of Cozine, we will be taking a look into how different minds perceive the
idea of the “Posthuman”. From articles that dive deep into bizarre concepts like mind
uploading and DNA editing to articles discussing the progress and regress that comes along
with the Posthuman ideology, Cozine v13 is set to be an interesting read that intrigues the
reader about the reality we are living in.
It is my honour to have worked with the best team I could have asked for, one made up of
people that not only made this journey effortless but also gave me the opportunity to learn
from their ways of hard work, commitment and sheer talent. To the editors Ovee Jawdekar,
Anushka Pansare and Aditya Anurag; the designers Piyul Patel and Urjita Swar; and the
mentors Shreya Barhate and Raj Sarode - I hope you’re as proud as I am to put forth this
marvellous edition of CSI-RAIT’s annual magazine Cozine.
I once again extend my heartfelt gratitude towards Principal Sir, Leena Ma’am, Tushar Sir and
Anupama Ma’am for making this magazine a possibility. I also thank the authors of the
articles for the invaluable contribution of their thoughts and words.
CSI-RAIT dedicates Cozine Version 13 to the one reading this right now. We hope to stir the
curiosity within you and push you to unearth the answers that you seek for.
