Good poetry is often described as the literature in metrical form or compositions forming rhythmic lines. It has a set of specific features that differentiate it
from other forms of literature. It is not necessary that all the elements should be employed in every poem that is penned. However, the presence of at least
two of these elements is noted in most poems. However, a blank verse does have a set rhythm and meter pattern that is followed. Now, a "free verse" will
neither have rhyme or rhythm, but these verses are usually luxurious in other elements like metaphors, symbols and spectacular word images. So, poetry
writing offers a lot of scope for experimentation when it comes to choosing literary elements or devices as per the needs of the poet “ says, honorable poet
Ruth Calope Alfar.

Personal Profile

Ruth Calope Alfar grew up in a mining community which played a vital role in shaping who she is today. In that mining community, almost everybody was on a
Ruth Calope Alfar
first name basis as they moved about in the same circle. She was a privileged lot, with plenty of perks and privileges accorded to her and so the place still holds a
special place in her hearts. She is one of the lucky few who is still currently residing there, and at the same time working at the mines. She has the heart of a miner
through and through. She has come to have developed a special focus on the environment, because in the community where she grew up, lots of effort had been
done to preserve and conserve the natural resources. Let's say, they have a kind of pact with Mother Nature to give back a hundredfold what has been taken away.

Persona

She is an introvert and this may be due to the fact that she is the only child. As such, she loves her own company and she was quite content to be surrounded by
books. She loves them and she can't live without them. She has taken quite a fancy to reading classic English poetry of famous poets. And that was what started it
all: her journey into the realm of Poetry.

Achievements
Being a mother of three is her greatest achievement and nothing can compare with the satisfaction of watching them grow to be the best that they can be. Being an
author of 2 poetry books makes she is inspired to write more so that she may be able to leave a footprint, a legacy in the world of literature. She is a proud member
of Toastmasters International, a group of speakers and speech makers who are totally devoted to the craft of refining and elevating the art of delivering a speech.
She has won third place in an Area contest for Speech Evaluation Category and that is a great achievement for her. By profession, she is an accountant,
specializing in the field of Capital Expenditures and Budget. She is also a Financial Analyst. She works extensively with other departments and gives them sound
advice on how to lower their cost.
Inspirational Works

Having written 2 poetry books so far, and having them published and sold, she has come to the realization that she needs to write more, particularly on topics that
might have a global impact. Potential topics which she might touch on may include issues about women, the environment and local history.

Failures and Successes

She may have failed at some various points in her life, like having to change courses from a medical field to the business field. That can't be considered a failure,

neither have rhyme or rhythm, but these verses are usually luxurious in other elements like metaphors, symbols and spectacular word images. So, poetry
writing offers a lot of scope for experimentation when it comes to choosing literary elements or devices as per the needs of the poet “ says, honorable poet

That can't be considered a failure,

but rather a stepping stone to something brighter, bigger and something
that is really meant for her. She has also hosted a Students Congress aimed
to help Junior and Senior High School teens cope up with bullying, peer

Family and Parents

She has three children whom she loves dearly. Her mom is a retired
teacher and her father is a retired Human Resources Officer of the
mining company I'm working in right now.

What more you can contribute to eradicate inhumanity from our society?

Love for the environment is the first and foremost of her concern. She is
living in a world that is so much polluted that in a hundred years or so, it
may be rendered uninhabitable. Her drive is to write and post articles
regarding this problem in order to drive awareness to the people who may
be blind to this fact.

For Nirmala Trivedi, Poetry is a type of creativity by depicting words, phrases, and sometimes own experience or from other inspirational sources and reframing
them as poetry by making changes in meanings and imaginations, or by adding new thoughts , thus imparting new meaning.
Personal Profile:
My name is Nirmala Trivedi. I was born in Orissa where my father was posted as an IAS officer. I was the first born child in the new generation of Tiwaris which
was a combined family of six brothers. I was much loved and pampered by the entire family. I got married when I was at Cuttack. After my marriage, I came to
Kanpur and went with my husband, a U.P. cadre officer of IAS. I had two lovely kids, a son and a daughter. I entered the field of working in 1989 and got articles
published in leading newspapers. I shifted to poetry in 1993 and it continues till date.
Persona:

I am basically a kind hearted and generous person, always extending help with no return expected except good behaviour. I am a private person yet I enjoy having
intellectual discussions with people of substance. I take quick decisions following my heart. The other side of my personality is adaptability to all types of
situations- normal or trying. That is a basic trait. I am a family oriented person. My loved ones are my top priority. I am also very particular about
cleanliness/hygiene. There is a deep sense of it ingrained in me. I don't like to be taken for granted or ignored. I am not status conscious and if my first move does
not bring adequate response, I prefer to move on. I am an emotional person. Writing for me is a divine experience and while writing I get into a trance when my
surroundings become invisible to me. Normally I am able to complete a poem in 10 to 15 minutes. I am amazed at the speed with which compositions floating in
the cosmos reach me and it is followed by appropriate words. Yet all my compositions/lyrics remain original and I am proud of this fact.
I write in both Hindi as well as English.
Achievements:

I had a streak of creative writing from my school days and later when my teenage children became self-dependent, my urge for creative writing got revived.
I wrote on women issues in leading newspapers. It had a unique style of telling meaningful stories without pontificating and it became very popular. I wrote
nearly 150 articles within 4 years.
My emotional side was now forcing me towards poetry writing. I have written 10,000 of them so far in past 25 years. I wrote at least a poem a day at the very least
and sometimes it would be 5-6 in a day. T. Series was impressed with my Bhajans and they have so far brought out 5 albums. Lyrics/compositions both are mine
as are all my other poetic creations.
I joined FaceBook on 1.11.2015 and have an inclusive poetry page and by now my 1052 poems have reached 1.25 crores readers. Approximately 10lakhs have
liked and approximately 1 lakh have commented on it till date. There are 35000 followers.

Inspirational Works:
Besides my creative writing, I enjoyed my time teaching in a public school. There I had reserved 10minutes of time for pep talk to the students. If a student was

Beings an avid, devoted fabulous Poet Vandita Dharni, she is an elegant writer, a highly deep rooted poetic aspirant, all well reflecting in her fabulous poetry. The
journey called life is not inclusive without its fair share of success and failure. Her verses reflect a strong poignant range that encompasses many social issues.
Hence, the language covers a wide spectrum evolving from the archaic to the contemporary. Her recently launched book of poetry, “The Oyster of Love” is a
treasure trove of incredible poems depicting every nuance of love be it joy, passion, longing or despair
Personal Profile : As a child, I shared a close association with nature which led to me undertaking various excursions that involved extensive travelling to
beautiful locations with my parents in India and abroad. The mysterious mountains have been a favourite on my travel list thus it was only a calling that made
me put on my travelling boots and head out to these majestic marvels of nature. From the Titlismountains and the Alps in Switzerland to the majestic
Himalayas, each one rendered a charm of their own, drawing me closer to their mystique and grandeur. The literary spark was thus ignited in the lap of these
glorious heights of natural wonders. This naturally created an aura for the surreal beauty that nature has to offer. I have always tapped into these natural reservoirs
that add an ethereal appeal coupled with my personal experiences to enhance the subjectivity and emotive charm of my poetry. My mother's influence in my
formative years cannot be ignored. Literature was her forte and she had been a lecturer at her college for forty years. It was she who first introduced me to the
nuances of writing. She generated within me a desire for reading the classics and writing short literary pieces. As a young college student, I would sit in my
beautifully landscaped garden at the David Villa in Allahabad and that was the where my tryst with poetry really began. I knew the seeds of writing had
germinated but it took another fifteen years for the real poet within me to emerge. My marriage, domestic commitments and career took priority for those fifteen
years so my literary talents lay dormant for that time. It was in 2016 when I published my first anthology and as they say the rest is history!! I have never looked
back ever since. My supportive husband along with my two boys have been my backbone and have been inspirational to my literary pursuits which has helped
me evolve into the poet I am today. The poet being an inborn part of me helped me in earning many a laurel and distinction in the literary field. However the first
milestone that came my way was in the early stage of academic pursuits where I topped the ranks in the University of Allahabad at the post – graduate level in
the language of English. Thereafter, a dogged determination and a steely resolve to up the ante helped me in earning a much sought after honorary PHD degree
from the university in American Literature. An achievement that is dear to me as it proves that despite all odds, an academic accreditation is much its worth
despite the blood, sweat and tears one flows for it if I may express with literary connotations !! My linguistic and communication skills complimented me in
becoming the quintessential teacher, which now has become my forte over the decade. Its my absolute resolution to pay back to society and most significantly
the next generation the values, principles and morals I have learnt through my teaching. Each day is a new experience and the unbridled joy I receive is when my
students express their happiness at the end of the session to let me know I made a difference! Poetic expression is a natural extension of me.I have delved into the
quintessential beauty of nature and translated its richness into my poems. The metamorphosis as a writer in me has been consistent and gradual as I seek to
explore the unexplored. It has been a constant endeavor on my part to evolve and hone my inherent skills. This has led me to have a strong conviction to believe
that life is a continuous learning process and the journey doesn't end here.
Persona: It has been an innate trait for me to show a compassionate bent of mind that is deeply reflected in displaying a caring and sincere demeanour. Apart
from my love for poetry, my musical interests have served me well in various school cultural functions, A keen interest in fine arts is well reflected in a brush with
Vandita Dharni expressions painted on canvas. The avid reader in me coupled with a penchant for words have contributed in great measure to the literary world that has

benefitted at large with several articles, poems and short stories being published in National and International journals.
Achievements: It has been a humbling experience to have been bestowed with numerous recognitions that have only served as a constant reminder that the best
