Excursion/Study Tour Programs
The primary objective and intent of schools or any educational institution is to awaken intelligence,
in the student. This is kept in the forefront of all activities in the institution - academic or otherwise-
both at the time of design and at the time of implementation of such activities.
Study Trips /Excursions form a part of the school curriculum, and are very valuable as they provide
the students the opportunity of learning, in the outdoors through travel, adventure or so. That
specially reward the experience that they may not otherwise get to take.
Impact & Outcomes
By seeing real-life application of the lessons that they are learning in school, students are more likely
to understand and appreciate the importance and relevance of what they are learning, resulting in -
Better Grades and Understanding Learning, Accepting and Appreciate Art & Culture Breaks Monotony
Less obvious, but nevertheless very real, is the physiological and psychological impact on well being
Self-Aware Autonomy: Discovering real abilities and enhanced self confidence
Capacity for Empathy: Living, working closely with others and relate effectively to one another,
improving the outcomes for young people at risk of disengagement or anti-social behavior.
One obvious positive impact of active involvement in the outdoors is physical fitness, which directly
impacts on health in later life, which also makes adventure outdoors a necessity.
An Adventure Experience
● Helps young people to learn to manage themselves in a risky and uncertain environment and to
achieve that balance.
● A real boost to self-esteem, especially for those who have not previously excelled. Many children
discover for the first time that they can succeed, is a discovery that has a direct effect on their
subsequent engagement and motivation.
Yet, without first hand awareness of the natural world, an introduction to adventure, how can we
expect our children to rise to the challenge of being responsible custodians of their planet, of the
nature and of themselves??
There is a world outside the school and colleges, for students discovering the unknown and
appreciating the known, embracing the nature, and indulging in the challenging adventurous
activities to know their real ability is the need of the hour, and needs an active response.
Why Chose Explorer & Adventure?
The educational excursions we design, emphasizes the attentive mind, enabling a sense of learning,
discovery, exploration amidst the nature and wilderness, self-discovery in the adventure and a
quality of quietness amidst nature. And this emphasis need not come in the way of such trips being
FUN, as they are meant to be.
We highly focus on:
1) Understanding the need of Institution/Students at large
We put in considerable time and efforts in understanding the needs and educational aspects to
create a highly impactful excursion plan.
2) Flexible Approach
We can work with you to design and customize the excursion/trip according to the needs and
requirements of Institutions.
3) Objective based Excursion
Planning an excursion with an objective is always beneficial and worthy. All our Excursion
programs and learning activities are specifically designed and conducted with a focus on the
identified learning needs, objectives and outcomes of the excursion program.
4) Learning induced Environment
We specially constitute a Learning environment that involves intelligence capabilities resulting
in enhanced learning, retention and application of knowledge gained.

It’s a place where vibrant worlds seamlessly meld into one another every few hundred kilometers. Host to
some of India’s largest and most powerful dynasties, the state has across the centuries, carried a legacy of

Tamil Nadu is the homeland of one of humanity’s living classical civilizations, stretching back uninterrupted
for two millennia and very much alive today in the Tamils’ language, dance, poetry and Hindu religion. To the

Kerela
Best time: September-March
A sliver of a coastal state in India’s South, Kerala is shaped by its layered landscape: glorious Arabian Sea
coast and beaches; a languid network of glistening backwaters; and the spice and tea-covered hills of the
Western Ghats. Besides its famous backwaters, elegant houseboats, ayurvedic treatments and delicately
spiced, taste-bud-tingling cuisine, Kerala is home to wild elephants, exotic birds and the odd tiger, while
vibrant traditions such as Kathakali plays, temple festivals and snake-boat races frequently bring even the
smallest villages to life. It’s hard to deny Kerala’s liberal use of the slogan ‘God’s Own Country’.
Kochi (Cochin)
Nowhere else in India could you find such an intriguing mix: giant fishing nets from China, a 400-year-old
synagogue, ancient mosques, portuguese houses and the crumbling remains of the British Raj. The result is
an unlikely blend of medieval Portugal, Holland and an English village grafted onto the tropical Malabar Coast.
Munnar
The rolling hills around Munnar, South India’s largest tea-growing region, are carpeted in emerald-green
tea plantations, contoured, clipped and sculpted like ornamental hedges. The low mountain scenery is
magnificent, often up above the clouds watching veils of mist clinging to the mountaintops.
Alapuzzha (Alleppey)

expensive home) and the largest tropical forest in an urban zone. A city of diverse cultures and a melting pot
of commerce, industry, entertainment, enterprise, and politics, Mumbai’s trysts with wealth and fame have,
however, been recent. During the mid-18th century, Bombay was reshaped by the Hornby Vellard Project,

Matheran
Asia’s tiniest hill station but with lots to offer by way of scenic view points, long treks through forested
areas, and a quaintness of its own. Known as the ‘pedestrian’ hill station because all vehicles have to per
force stop at Dasturi and one has to either walk or hitch a horse ride into Matheran. The hill station in itself

The fort of Jaisalmer is a breathtaking sight: a massive sand-castle rising from the sandy plains like a

the first country where Gross National Happiness is deemed more important than Gross National Product.
By law, at least 60% of the country must remain forested for all future generations. Three reasons to be

Firstly, there is the amazing Himalayan landscape, where snowcapped peaks rise above shadowy gorges

Nepal
Best time: September-February
Nepal is a land of snow peaks and Sherpas, yaks and yetis, monasteries and mantras wedged between
the high Himalaya and the steamy Indian plains. Admiring the peaks over a gin and tonic from a Himalayan
viewpoint , strolling through the medieval city squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, and joining
Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims on a spiritual stroll around centuries-old stupas and monasteries is an experience
of a lifetime. Then there’s the days long trekking trials in the incredible mountain scenery and adrenaline kick
of rafting a roaring Nepali river or bungee jumping into a bottomless Himalayan gorge. Canyoning, climbing,
kayaking, paragliding offer a rush against the backdrop of some of the world’s most dramatic landscapes.
Myanmar (Burma)
Best time: November-February
This extraordinary land is scattered with gilded pagodas, where the traditional ways of Asia endure and
areas previously off-limits are opening up. ‘This is Burma,’ wrote Rudyard Kipling. ‘It is quite unlike any place
you know about.’ Amazingly, over a century later, Myanmar retains the power to surprise and delight even
the most jaded of visitors. Be dazzled by the ‘winking wonder’ of Shwedagon Paya. Contemplate the 4000
sacred stupas scattered across the plains of Bagan. Stare in disbelief at the Golden Rock at Mt Kyaiktiyo,
teetering impossibly on the edge of a chasm. Best of all is encountering the locals who are gentle, humorous,
engaging, considerate, inquisitive and passionate – they want to play a part in the world, and to know what
you make of their world.
