WELCOME to Asia Islamic Tourism Expo (AITEX 2023) the Asia Hajj, Umrah & Islamic Tourism Exhibition And Conference on 13 – 15 September 2023 right here in Malaysia. “The potential for growth of Islamic tourism is becoming more widely acknowledged. The Muslim traveler represents the biggest and most profitable untapped niche market in world tourism. Islamic tourism is traditionally associated with pilgrimages like the Hajj and Umrah. This phrase has become more inclusive over time to cover Muslims who travel for both business and pleasure. The necessity for industry participants, such as restaurants, airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to adapt their products and services in order to meet the demands of this expanding market segment has been created by this recent development in the world of Islamic tourism. OBJECTIVE The main objective of AITEX 2023 is to provide a platform for the travel and tourism companies, state tourism offices, governmental tourism agencies, tourism agents, travelers and tourists to participate in Asia Islamic Tourism Expo. In AITEX 2023, the travel and tourism companies, state tourism offices, governmental tourism agencies. and tourism agents will be able to have a face to face meeting as exhibitors at specially designed booths & Conferences. At AITEX 2023, the trade visitors and buyers will be able to see, enquire and buy various Islamic Tourism packages from the exhibitors through face to face exhibition. To realize this objective, MATA came out with the Asia Islamic Tourism Expo or AITEX 2023 in an effort to make a home grown event comparable to international events.
AITEX 2023 PROJECT MANAGEMENT AITEX 2023 is a complex project implemented in a compressed time. The Agile Project Management methodology was used to manage this project. The project went through a systematic process comprising of four phases. In each phase, serval activities were conducted. The phases are as follows: 1. Start The project is official opened 2. Conceptualization Brainstorming and discussion on project concept 3. Planning Project Charter, Milestone, Gantt Chart, Timeline, Resource allocation, Load & tasks assignments, 4. Closing Graceful Closing, Project Report, Project Evaluation, Resource reassignment, Closeout Meeting 6. End Project official closed
AITEX OBJECTIVES PROMOTION Making Malaysia an Islamic Tourism Hub in the Asian Continent that has a good network of air transport links. DIVERSITY Positioning AITEX - world class tourism event as a "Home Grown Event" comparable to international events.
