ABOUT Tioman Island (Malay:

Pulau Tioman) is a mukim

District, Pahang, Malaysia.
The densely forested
ISLAND island is sparsely
inhabited, and is

surrounded by numerous coral reefs, making it a

popular scuba diving, snorkelling, and surfing spot.

The island is part of Pahang territory, although it is

geographically closer to mainland Johor than to

mainland Pahang, and is accessed via ferry service

from the Johorean coastal town of Mersing.

PULAU RENGGIS

Pulau Renggis is a small island that sits off the coast

of Tekek Village, opposite Berjaya Tioman Resort. A

popular snorkelling spot included in most round-

island tour packages, Renggis offers great visibility

in relatively shallow sea waters (20 meters),

abundant coral reefs, colourful marine fish and the

opportunity to swim with resident harmless black-tip

baby sharks. Sometimes, visitors can also spot sea

turtles resting along the sea bed

No chalet or resort facilities are available due to

the small size of the island. However, Pulau Renggis

is very unique and beautiful because of the beauty

of the coral and the surrounding water which is

very beautiful and clear. 4
